Key Responsibilities:
β Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or instructions to build or repair various items, including furniture, cabinets, doors, and windows
β Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand and power tools
β Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using carpenter's hand and power tools
β Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures
β Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
β Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradesmen to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
β Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure they are in good working order
β Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
β Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent training
β Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry or related field
β Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
β Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
β Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
β Ability to work independently or as part of a team
β Good communication and interpersonal skills
β Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
