Position Overview

• We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, specializing in Trade Finance and Financial Institution (FI) Loans. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the Bank’strade-related assets and FI lending portfolio in Singapore. This position requires a high level of expertise in international trade rules, credit risk assessment, and proactive coordination with various stakeholders, including our Head Office and regional counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Management &Execution: Direct management of day-to-day Trade Finance activities, including Letters of Credit (LC), import/export documentary credits, documentary collections, and guarantees.
• Technical Examination: Conduct detailed document examination and discrepancy handling for trade transactions in strict adherence to international standards (UCP 600, ISBP, URC 522, etc.).
• FI Lending & Credit Support: Facilitate FI Loan transactions through comprehensive credit-related assessments, transaction structuring, and approval coordination.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Perform post-transaction monitoring and regular risk assessments of existing exposures to identify and mitigate potential credit, operational, or compliance risks.
• HQ Liaison & Reporting: Serve as a primary point of contact for Head Office (HQ)regarding credit approvals and strategic reporting. This includes reviewing internal HQ guidelines and ensuring local operations align with global corporate standards.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong business relationships with financial institutions, corporate clients, and internal departments to support transaction flow and business growth.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Trade Finance and/or FI Loans within the banking sector.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of ICC rules (UCP 600, ISBP 745, etc.) and a solid understanding of credit fundamentals and lending principles.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Language Skills: Proficiency in Korean (written and verbal) is preferred to facilitate effective communication with the Head Office and to accurately interpret internal technical documents and reporting requirements drafted in Korean.
• Professional Certification: Holders of CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) or CSDG(Certified Specialist in Demand Guarantees) will be given priority.
• Strategic Mindset: Proven track record in business development or relationship management within the FI space.

Job Responsibilities

Requirements

Responsibilities

• MarketMaking & Execution : Provide real-time pricingand execute trades as USD/KRW RFI (Registered Foreign Institution) market maker
• Trading& Risk Hedging : Manage trading portfolios and hedge risks across FXSpot, Forward, NDF, Swap, IRS and CCS
• P/L& Risk Management : Daily monitoring and management of P/L, positions, andFX exposure
• Sales :FX/Derivatives Sales and FX hedging seminars for corporate and institutional clients
• Pricing& Asset Management : Provide competitivepricing for FX and Derivative products to clients and manage related assetoperations
• System& Process Improvement: Enhance internaltrading and evaluation systems to support the expansion of FX/Derivativesbusiness

Requirements

• Minimum3 years of relevant experience in FX/Derivatives trading and sales

• Must hold CMFAS (RES-12B) & CM-SIP certifications
• Solid understanding of FX / Rates product mechanics
• Proficient user of Bloomberg / Workspace(Reuters) or equivalent data terminals

Preferred

• Experience with ISDA / CSA negotiation / onboarding strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of ISO20022, UTI / UPI, trade reporting workflows
• Prior experience in KRW or KRW NDF markets is highly advantageous
• Proficiency in Korean is preferred to facilitate communication with the Head Office and Korean client

Risk Management

• Monitor and report risk limit, risk indicators/measures

Job Description

• Oversee and review transaction monitoring alerts, conduct in-depth investigations, and identify potential suspicious activities requiring escalation and filing of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
• Manage and provide guidance on CDD and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for new and high-risk customers, including complex ownership structures and cross-border relationships.
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation, review, and submission of STRs to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Suspicious Transaction Reporting Office (STRO), in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead AML/CFT risk assessments, maintain and enhance internal control procedures, and drive remediation efforts to address identified compliance gaps.

Requirements

Job description
