Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Able to perform corrective Mechanical Maintenance for all mechanical equipment located in Sembgas & Service corridor for the plants.
• Carry out inspections as per daily maintenance schedule; attend defects, breakdowns, including the repairing and calibration of Mechanical Equipment.
• Hands on experience of valves, piping, safety valves, control & shutoff valves etc.
• Take charge to troubleshoot/ fault diagnosis/ failure analysis to determine cause of failure.
• Develop Risk Assessment and mitigation measures for every Maintenance job in the plant
• Apply for Permit to Work (PTW) as the Competent Person (CP) for every Maintenance work in the plant
• Supervise contractors and liaise with other maintenance crafts and technicians to execute maintenance activities
• Withdraw and prepare spares from warehouse for job execution.
• Manage Capex and Opex for all Mechanical activities
• Prepare daily updates on Maintenance activities for the day to all stakeholders (operations)
• Successful candidate can be appointed as part of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) (training will be provided)

Qualifications & Experience 

• Engineering Degree Holder in Mechanical
• 3~5 years of experience on  maintenance  of mechanical and piping systems in the utilities & process industry
• Well organized & Target oriented
• Able to communicate effectively with vendor contractor, technician, customer and manager
• Should posses knowledge on instrumentation, control valves, piping, international standards etc.
• Team player
• Strictly follower of company HSE requirement

Purpose and Scope

This position will be involved in securing new businesses, managing existing key accounts, leading customer engagements, establishing and reviewing commercial contracts. A hands-on individual who is able to provide service excellence to customers by understanding their requirements and proposing a suite of Sembcorp services and sustainable solutions for their business operations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain consultative relationships with existing and potential customers, also serve as the focal point between internal stakeholders and customers.
• Develop techno-commercial proposals, perform financial evaluation, negotiate and conclude contractual terms with customers.
• Perform commercial viability studies for new investments and/or contract renewals and prepare investment papers for approval.
• Prepare, propose and negotiate commercial contracts with customers, including the development of customer-led strategies and preparation of customised pricing proposals, cross-selling bundled solutions such as utilities, gas, electricity, solar, contract renewals etc., and meet customers as and when necessary.
• Manage the sales cycle and business development process of new opportunities in close collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g. asset management, legal, risk, finance, etc.) to ensure proposals for new commercial deal/renewals or solutions to meet customers’ needs are technically feasible, optimised and commercially viable.
• Own and develop a strategic account plan for assigned customers, including needs analysis, growth strategy, and renegotiation plans with the aim to convert the customer into a long-term partnership with Sembcorp.
• Manage assigned existing key accounts’ contracts/agreements, including dispute resolution, price revisions, commercial performance monitoring, billing verification, etc.
• Lead customers engagement programs and conduct analysis on customers’ feedback.
• Deep understanding of Sembcorp’s utilities assets/product offers and be capable of positioning Sembcorp’s value in the sales/business development cycle process to differentiate Sembcorp from competition.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance existing commercial and operational processes, and actively participate in digitalisation and AI-related projects to improve efficiency, customer insights, market intelligence and decision-making capabilities.
• Other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Chemical, Environmental or Engineering fields
• Preferably 2-3 years in a utilities-related field

Purpose and Scope 

This is a trading lead role responsible for driving electricity trading activities and managing a team of traders to deliver consistent commercial outcomes with strong risk discipline. The role partners closely with the AVP, Power Generation & Retail and cross-functional stakeholders across the portfolio. The Trading function is part of the Power Generation & Retail organisation structure. 

This role will lead a team of electricity traders in the execution of trading strategies and market participation activities to optimise portfolio value, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and operational excellence. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities 

Desk Leadership & Trading Execution  

• Lead day-to-day electricity trading execution, ensuring timely, high-quality decisions across relevant time horizons (e.g., intra-day, day-ahead, short-term, and term where applicable).
• Set daily/weekly desk priorities, ensure coverage discipline, and act as escalation point for market events and position management.
• Drive post-trade and post-event reviews to improve decision quality and performance. 

Team Management  

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of electricity traders, building capability in fundamentals, judgment, and disciplined execution.
• Set performance expectations and measurable goals; run structured performance check-ins and capability development plans.
• Ensure consistent adherence to desk standards (controls, playbooks, review cadence, documentation). 

Strategy Translation & Portfolio Alignment 

• Translate portfolio objectives into executable desk-level trading strategies, ensuring alignment with operational realities and commercial exposures.
• Work closely with relevant internal stakeholders to incorporate asset constraints, availability, and portfolio needs into trading decisions. 

Risk Management, Controls & Governance 

• Operate within approved risk limits and governance frameworks; monitor exposures and escalate breaches/near-breaches appropriately.
• Strengthen trading controls and discipline (approvals, position monitoring, limit utilisation, reporting cadence).
• Ensure audit readiness and strong operational controls across the trading lifecycle. 

Market Operations & Compliance 

• Oversee end-to-end processes supporting trading, including bid submissions, confirmations, settlement coordination, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with market rules and internal operating procedures; act as senior escalation for operational incidents. 

Analytics, Digitalisation & Continuous Improvement 

• Drive practical improvements to trading effectiveness through better analytics, dashboards, automation, and process redesign.
• Partner with digital/data teams to reduce manual workflows and improve decision support (forecasting, scenario analysis, backtesting where relevant). 

Senior Stakeholder Advisory  

• Provide clear, structured updates to the management team on market conditions, desk performance drivers, and key risks/opportunities.
• Support management discussions by presenting concise narratives backed by data and clear decision options. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in electricity trading and/or market operations within power and gas trading or trading house with physical exposure.
• Demonstrated experience leading a trading desk or managing traders 
• Strong understanding of wholesale electricity market dynamics, trading operations, and risk discipline, particularly in Singapore/similar markets.

• Able to perform corrective Mechanical Maintenance for all Power Plant Stationary and Rotary Equipment located in Energy & Utilities plant as assigned by Mechanical Engineer / Supervisor.
• Carry out inspections as per daily maintenance schedule; attend defects, breakdowns, including the repairing and calibration of Mechanical Equipment.
• Conduct disassembling and assembling of Mechanical Equipment and of Gas turbine, Steam Turbine, HRSG, BOP and WWT for repairs/rehabilitation.
• Hands on experience of valves, pumps, compressors, piping, safety valves, control & shutoff valves etc
• Assist the Maintenance Mechanical Engineers to troubleshoot/ fault diagnosis/ failure analysis to determine cause of failure.
• Assist the Maintenance Mechanical Engineers to develop Risk Assessment and mitigation measures for every Maintenance job in the plant
• Apply for Permit to Work (PTW) as the Competent Person (CP) for every Maintenance work in the plant
• Supervise contractors and liaise with other maintenance crafts and operations technicians to execute maintenance activities
• Withdraw and prepare spares from warehouse for job execution.

• Preferably minimum 5 years of experience in relevant Maintenance fields in a Power Plant or Petrochemical Industry

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Contracts Functions

• Provide QS roles for EPC projects, experience with BOQ, SOR, and cost estimation for C&I, M&E and pipeline Projects
• Verification of Monthly payment claims, payment responses and invoices from EPC contractors & vendors
• Wide experience in valuation, negotiation of Contractors’ variation claims and assessments
• Experience with Contract formats and Contract administration for EPC projects
• Final account preparation and negotiations with EPCs/vendors
• Experience with sourcing and purchase of goods, components or services by focusing on cost, quality, delivery targets, and procurement strategies.
• Able to manage end-to-end procurement process (RFx, evaluation, negotiation, contract preparation)
• Handle Vendors’ evaluation and overseeing of performance
• Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the Company’s Procurement & Contracts supports, ensuring adherence with company policies governance frameworks, and relevant regulations

Cost Control Functions

• Experience in monthly project cost reporting process, monitor project related expenses and budget updates, preparation of cash flow for Construction Projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering or M & E Engineering or Construction Management with at least 5 years of relevant working experience for EPC Projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement practices.
• Proficiency in cost management software (eg. SAP), GEP and MS Office excel is advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Facilitate cross-functional department involvement and close cooperation within the Company
• Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
