Job Summary

Reporting to the Project Director, you will lead fire protection projects from award to handover, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and fully compliant with SCDF requirements while maintaining strong client and consultant relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and close out fire protection projects including sprinkler, wet/dry riser, hose reel, and fire alarm systems

• Manage subcontractors and site teams to drive progress, resolve technical issues, and enforce safety and quality standards

• Lead project meetings with clients and consultants, handling RFIs, variation orders, and progress claims

• Monitor project P&L, forecast costs, and implement cost controls to protect margins

• Coordinate with purchasing and design teams to ensure timely material delivery and approved submissions

• Ensure all works comply with CP10, SS145, SS575, and SCDF codes and obtain required approvals

• Prepare and submit progress reports to management for project oversight and decision-making

• Drive defect-free handover and close-out documentation for completed projects

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in fire protection or MEP works

• Strong knowledge of Singapore fire codes: CP52, SS645, SS575, SS578, etc, and SCDF submission requirements

• Proven track record managing $500K+ fire protection projects from award to TOP/CSC

• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills with clients, consultants, and site teams

• Familiarity with project scheduling, cost control, and contract administration

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• ITC, Diploma, Degree in Engineering. PMP, FSM, or WSH certifications are advantageous but not mandatory

• Experience with both new-build and A&A fire protection works

• Knowledge of ISO documentation and QA/QC processes

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate new suppliers and subcontractors to secure high-quality materials and services at competitive prices
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms to maximize value and maintain strong vendor partnerships
• Analyze material and tool quotes to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing strategies
• Issue purchase orders accurately and coordinate timely deliveries to meet project schedules
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without excess stock
• Track and monitor spending against project budgets to support financial control
• Ensure all purchasing documentation complies with ISO standards and supports internal audit requirements
• Prepare procurement reports for management to inform decision-making and project oversight

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in construction or engineering
• Proficient negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills demonstrated through successful supplier engagements
• Detail-oriented with analytical skills applied to cost comparison and forecasting
• Familiarity with ISO documentation standards, inventory control processes, and building/construction purchasing requirements

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Relevant purchasing or procurement certifications are advantageous but not mandatory

Job Summary

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will support fire protection projects by tracking site progress, processing commercial documents, and ensuring timely submissions to keep projects and cash flow on track.

Responsibilities

• Track and update project progress schedules based on site feedback and coordinate with site teams

• Prepare and submit progress claims, invoices, and payment certificates to clients and consultants

• Draft and submit quotations and variation order claims, following up for approval

• Compile project documentation for submissions, including drawings, catalogues, and method statements

• Liaise with purchasing team to monitor material deliveries against project timelines

• Maintain project filing systems and ensure commercial records are accurate and audit-ready

• Assist Project Manager with meeting minutes, progress reports, and correspondence

• Monitor outstanding payments and support collection follow-ups

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of project coordination or admin experience in construction, MEP, or fire protection

• Familiar with progress claims, invoicing, and variation order processes

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word; knowledge of Autocad/Bluebeam is a plus

• Good communication skills to liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Nitec or Diploma in Building, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline

• Experience with SCDF submission paperwork or fire protection systems

• Knowledge of ISO documentation processes
