Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager. To manage the daily accounting function ensuring timely and accurate input for the reporting timelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure the timely preparation and presentation of Financial Reports. These Financial Reports consist of monthly, yearly financial reports and statements, write-ups, trend of operations, annual budget, cash flow, outlook and business plan.
- Coordinate and prepare Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet financial statements and bank reconciliation report on a monthly basis.
- Coordinate and supervise compliance to Accounting checklist.
- Coordinate and prepare Profit & Loss forecast of financial performance (outlook) on a monthly basis, for the following month.
- Assist in the preparation of Taxation Returns.
- Assist the Director of Finance in the performance of their duties.
- Monitor the timely and accurate performance of the accounts receivable function.
- Review of accounts payable monthly inventory reconciliations.
- Review of accounts payable purchases journal.
- Prepare all month-end General Ledger journals.
- Complete all taxation and statistical requirements.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
SKILLS &QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Diploma in Accounting / Finance Management or related fields
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Meticulous and has an eye for details
- Proficient in systems and Microsoft Office applications
