Job Summary
As a Service Engineer, you will maintain, test, and commission mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic equipment, in particular System for Generation, Storage and Distribution of Purified Water and Water for Injection, ensuring smooth project execution and effective customer communication across Southeast Asia.
Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance and routine inspection of equipment including pumps and processing machines to ensure operational reliability
- Perform testing and commissioning of new equipment at factory and customer sites to validate functionality
- Create and organize detailed service reports for customers to document maintenance and service activities
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal support teams to resolve issues and provide status updates
- Manage assigned projects from order receipt to customer handover, ensuring timely and smooth execution
- Perform basic repair and troubleshooting on equipment and associated control systems to minimize downtime
- Apply knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to support maintenance and repair tasks
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and demonstrate initiative in troubleshooting equipment issues
- Support system commissioning and qualification activities including SAT, IQ, and OQ to meet compliance standards
- Ensure proper documentation of all project-related activities and technical information
- Collaborate closely with customers to understand and meet their technical requirements
Required competencies and certifications
- Valid Driving License 2B & 3 (essential for travel and site visits)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings for accurate maintenance and commissioning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation
- Good command of English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, to communicate with overseas customers and support teams
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- ITE or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics service engineering
- Willingness to travel oversea for project and service assignments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and colleagues
- Self-motivated, energetic, and able to work independently with initiative
