About the Role: We are looking for a highly creative and self-driven Designer to replace a key team member who brought strong original thinking and design leadership. This role is not for basic execution — we need someone who can think, create, and lead visually.

You will work closely with our sales and project teams to develop impactful design concepts for flooring and interior applications, especially for B2B clients such as architects, interior designers, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop original design concepts (not just adaptations or references)

Translate client briefs into creative, practical design solutions

Create mood boards, layouts, and presentations for client pitches

Support the sales team with high-quality visual proposals that help close deals

Work on branding, product presentations, and marketing materials

Stay updated with design trends, materials, and finishes

Take ownership of projects from concept to final execution

What We’re Looking For:

Strong creative thinking ability (this is critical — not just software skills)

Ability to generate fresh, original ideas independently

Experience working with architects, ID firms, or construction-related projects is a plus

Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar)

Good understanding of materials, textures, and spatial design

Confidence to present and explain design ideas to clients

What Will NOT Work in This Role:

Someone who can only copy references or needs constant direction

Pure executors without design thinking

Lack of initiative or inability to handle new/original work

Role Overview

We are looking for a Designer who can support the team in creating layouts, drawings, and visual designs for commercial flooring and interior/exhibition projects. The role involves both creative work and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Support

* Prepare layout drawings and basic design concepts for projects

* Assist in developing ideas for booths, retail spaces, and commercial interiors

* Convert concepts into clear visual presentations

2. Technical Drawings

* Create accurate CAD drawings and design files

* Ensure proper scaling and measurement accuracy

* Make revisions based on feedback from senior designer or project team

3. Rendering & Visuals

* Assist in preparing 3D views / renderings for client presentations

* Maintain consistency in design style and presentation quality

4. Project Coordination

* Work closely with sales and project teams

* Update drawings based on site requirements and client feedback

5. Quality & Accuracy

* Check own work for errors before submission

* Follow approved design references and standards from past projects

* Experience in interior design / architectural / exhibition design preferred

* Knowledge of AutoCAD (must), SketchUp / 3D software (preferred)

* Good attention to detail and willingness to learn

* Ability to follow instructions and work within deadlines

· Education: Minimum Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field.

· Language: Proficiency in English is mandatory.

· Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a sales-related role.

· Must possess a Class 3 driving license.

· Skills:

· Demonstrated ability to present product lines effectively to key partners such as Architects, Builders, and Interior Designers.

· Strong command of MS Office and internet-based reporting.

· Resourceful, patient, with excellent clarity in communication.

· Experience managing multiple products and locations is a plus.

· Develop a strong understanding of our extensive flooring product range, including carpet tiles, luxury vinyl tiles, laminates, rugs, and more.

· Step into the world of interiors with a renowned brand. Engage with customers during road shows and travel opportunities for international exhibitions

· Acquire in-depth product knowledge, including unique selling points, to effectively communicate benefits to customers.

· Build new client relationships through proactive methods such as cold-calling and door-knocking, while maintaining and nurturing existing relationships.

· Demonstrate emotional intelligence by understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.

· Ability to interpret contract legalese and assess its implications for both the company and the customer.

· Communicate confidently, concisely, and clearly, ensuring customer concerns are addressed effectively and sales opportunities are successfully closed.

Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm

Saturday (halfday) 9:00am-1:00pm
