Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the full spectrum of HR functions including monthly payroll processing and sales commission computation.

• Lead annual staff performance appraisal, bonus, and salary review exercises.

• Oversee job posting, recruitment, and interviewing of candidates/new staff.

• Handle onboarding, orientation, preparation of employment letters, and benefits administration for new joiners.

• Support management in dealing with employee grievances and disciplinary issues.

• Participate in MOM surveys and ensure compliance with local regulations.

• Handle annual IR8A submission via AIS Scheme to IRAS.

• Liaise with banks and government agencies for funds, applications, and renewals.

• Ensure proper filing of all HR-related documents.

• Undertake any ad-hoc HR assignments as required.

Job Summary

The Port Captain is responsible for supervising vesseloperations within assigned ports, ensuring compliance with maritimeregulations, company policies, and safety standards. The role involvescoordinating with ship crews, port authorities, and stakeholders to ensureefficient turnaround, cargo operations, and vessel readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of vessels calling at assigned ports
• Act as the company’s representative onboard vessels and at port
• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL) and local port rules
• Monitor cargo loading and unloading operations for safety and efficiency
• Conduct vessel inspections, audits, and safety checks
• Coordinate with port authorities, agents, terminal operators, and service providers
• Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses and prepare reports
• Support vessel masters and crew with operational guidance
• Ensure proper documentation for port calls, cargo, and regulatory compliance
• Monitor vessel performance, turnaround time, and cost efficiency
• Assist in crew management matters when required

Qualifications & Requirements

• Master Mariner license (Class 1) or equivalent certification
• Extensive seagoing experience as a ship captain or senior deck officer
• Strong knowledge of maritime laws, safety standards, and port operations
• Experience with cargo operations (bulk, tanker, container, or offshore depending on company)
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies
• Proficiency in maritime software and reporting tools

Working Conditions

Reporting Line

• Typically reports to Fleet Manager / Marine Superintendent / Operations Manager

Role & Job Responsibilities:

• Book vessels in and out of Singapore port and arrange Pilot and Tug Boat services.
• Provide crews information to the immigration authority.
• Advise Sea custom of vessels' arrival and departure, and reporting of cargoes on onboard vessels.
• Ensuring that the ships' documentation complies with International and Singapore's regulation prior to Custom Inspection.
• Prepare and submit the declaration of Pre-Arrival Notification of Security.
• Arrange and coordinate the supply / deliveries of ship spares, stores, contractor services, certificates, documents, provisions, fresh water, waste removal and distribution of crews salary.
• Coordinate bunking of vessels.
• Arrange and coordinate other port operations and services.
• Attend to projects and tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Process AP invoices and payments
• Liaise with suppliers on any invoice discrepancies
• Processes payments of cheques, giro payments and telegraphic transfers
• Process reconciliations of inter-company transactions
• Handling partial sets of accounts and assist in month-end closing
• Maintain/Update daily cash book and perform daily/monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist in preparation of management reports
• Furnish information to external auditors when requested
• Other Ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualification and Requirements:

• Min CAT/LCCI/Diploma in Accounting
• Proficient in MS Office Application, especially MS Excel
• A team player with positive working attitude, responsible and able to work independently
• At least 1 year relevant experience
• Able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin
• Preferable to start work immediately or within short notice
