Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a specific kitchen station (e.g., pasta, pizza) to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes
• Prepare and cook menu items with precision to maintain taste and presentation standards
• Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance team performance and skill development
• Ensure proper food presentation and control portion sizes to meet restaurant standards
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations
• Manage kitchen inventory effectively to minimize food wastage and control costs
• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef in coordinating daily kitchen operations and workflow

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience
• Experience in Italian cuisine preferred
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• Leadership and team management skills to guide kitchen staff
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of Singapore food safety standards

We are seeking a motivated Commis Chef to support the kitchen team in food preparation and daily operations. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow in Italian cuisine.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing food by chopping, portioning, and making sauces to support kitchen operations
• Perform basic cooking tasks under supervision to contribute to meal preparation
• Maintain cleanliness and organize the kitchen to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
• Follow instructions from CDP, Sous Chef, and Head Chef to meet kitchen standards
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure safe food handling
• Support stock handling and storage to maintain kitchen inventory

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 0–2 years of kitchen experience to effectively support food preparation tasks
• Interest in Italian cuisine to engage with the culinary style and menu
