SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR (TENDERING) — Exciting Opportunity with a Leading Construction Firm

We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established construction company to source an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their tendering division. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned QS professional looking to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic and growing organisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior QS (Tendering), you will play a critical part in securing new projects by delivering accurate, competitive, and well-structured tender submissions. Working closely with internal teams and external consultants, you will be at the forefront of the bid process from inception through to award

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Conducting detailed quantity take-offs and developing cost estimates based on drawings and technical specifications
• Reviewing and interpreting tender documents to clearly define and understand the full scope of works
• Collaborating with tendering teams, engineers, and design consultants to ensure pricing accuracy and completeness
• Sourcing, obtaining, and critically evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Performing thorough rate analyses covering materials, labour, and plant costs
• Compiling comprehensive tender reports for internal review and sign-off
• Supporting the end-to-end preparation of tender submissions, including Bill of Quantities (BQ) pricing and all associated technical documentation
• Organising and maintaining tender records, cost databases, and historical pricing references
• Representing the team at tender briefings, site visits, and post-tender clarification meetings as required
• Supporting the wider team with additional duties as directed by senior management

WHAT OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR

• A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or a closely related field
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a dedicated tendering capacity
• Prior exposure to Civil tendering will be highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail with a meticulous and methodical approach to work
• A self-starter who brings energy and enthusiasm to every project
• A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A proactive mindset with the ability to think on your feet and resolve challenges effectively

DESIGN ENGINEER (2+ YEARS, C&S CONSULTANCY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED)

• Carry out civil and structural design in accordance with Singapore Standards and Eurocodes

• Knowledge of structural design software such as Prokon, ProtaStructure, ETABS, SAFE, or Plaxis is an added advantage
• Solid understanding of BCA submission procedures and local regulatory codes
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination abilities
• Highly motivated, responsible, and capable of working under tight deadlines
• Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment
• Prior exposure to ERSS, temporary works, or landed residential projects will be beneficial
• Open to fresh graduates with strong technical foundation and a positive attitude

• Able to demonstrate entitlement to EOT
• More specific items such as demonstrating loss of productivity
• Able to and articulate issues to management team
• Work in a team environment and being “curious” by raising question to the other members

• Lead and review engineering design deliverables in accordance with LTA standards, contract requirements, and project specifications
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design interfaces (C&S, Geotechnical, Traffic, Utilities, Drainage, etc.)
• Prepare and manage design schedules, ensuring alignment with construction timelines
• Oversee design development from conceptual to detailed design stages
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, codes of practice, and LTA submission requirements

• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises

• Ensure constructability, safety, and sustainability considerations are integrated into design

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure projects
• Mandatory experience in LTA projects (e.g., roads, MRT, tunnels, bridges, drainage, utilities)
• Strong knowledge of Singapore codes, LTA standards, and submission procedures
• Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, BIM tools)
• Experience in design coordination and multidisciplinary interface management
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Familiarity with BIM processes and digital design coordination tools is an advantage
