Position Summary

Ensure all forms of operation carried out within PaxOcean Singapore is in regulatory compliance to all relevant requirements and industry codes and standards.
Uphold all in-house requirements and standards pertaining to HSE governance within yard’s operation.
Serves as point of contact for direct liaison of all operational and /or HSE system related matters.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• To carry out implementation of HSE Policy and requirements as established within PaxOcean’s Safety Management System for the purpose of ensuring yard operations are in compliance to all requirements as established by relevant authorities.
• To carry out enforcement of local regulatory requirements from relevant authorities and international best practices from relevant standards on all operations being carried out within PaxOcean’s premises.
• To promote safety awareness & culture amongst the workforce through trainings and other HSE activities in order to achieve an accident-free and healthy work environment.
• To assist organization in achieving higher standard of HSE performance.
• To liaise with external parties and other governmental bodies pertaining HSE matters.

Job Requirements

• At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in the shipyard industry.
• Ability to lead and take charge of a small group
• Ability to perform shift works
• Ability to plan and conduct data analysis and trending
• Ability to conduct investigation and carried out root cause analysis utilizing various proven investigational techniques
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

Position Summary

Oversees daily security operations, manages the security staff and ensures the protection of people, property and assets. Responsible for implementing security protocols, conducting training and serving as the primary point of contact for emergency situations.  

Team Leadership:

• Recruit, train and schedule security personnel, both in-house and sub contracted staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide on-going coaching.

Operational Oversight:

• Monitor surveillance system(CCTV).
• Perform regular site patrols.
• Ensure all entry points are secure.

Emergency Response:

• Coordinate response to fire alarms, medical emergencies or security breaches closely with HSE dept.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services i.e., Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF), Singapore Police Force (SPF), Police Coast Guard (PCG), Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA)and Maritime Port Authority (MPA) etc.

Job Requirements

• 3 –5 years’ experience in security role with at least 1 year in leadership role.
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills and team player
• Strong understanding and knowledge of International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) code
• Ability to develop, implement and maintain PortFacility Security Plan (PFSP)
