1. Design formwork systems (aluminium formwork and system formwork) to support concrete structures (slabs, beams, columns, walls, etc.) during construction.
2. Ensure designs adhere to engineering principles, building codes, and safety regulations.
3. Select appropriate materials (e.g., plywood, aluminium, steel) based on project specifications.
4. Perform structural analysis to determine load capacities, deflection limits, and stability of formwork systems.
5. Ensure designs can withstand live loads, dead loads, and environmental factors (wind, vibration, etc.).
6. Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and construction teams to align formwork designs with construction schedules and site conditions.
7. Coordinate with architects and structural engineers to integrate formwork designs with overall project plans.
8. Ensure formwork designs meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.
9. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with formwork installation and removal.
10. Optimize the use of formwork materials to minimize costs and waste.
11. Explore reusable or modular formwork systems to enhance sustainability and efficiency.
12. Prepare detailed formwork drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.
13. Provide technical support to site teams during formwork assembly, installation, and dismantling.
14. Research and implement new technologies and materials to improve formwork efficiency and durability.

Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Knowledge of engineering principles related to load-bearing structures and construction methods.
• At least 5 Years of working experience in the related field.
• Required Skill(s): AutoCAD.

Project Manager / Director

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager / Director to lead and oversee construction projects from planning through completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

Candidates with proven experience in school, nursing home, and factory construction projects will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects from inception to handover.

• Report directly to Management and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, budgets, and resource requirements.

• Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring project objectives, timelines, and quality standards are achieved.

• Develop, monitor, and update project master programmes, identify critical paths, and implement recovery plans when required.

• Lead project teams, site management staff, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

• Review project schedules, manpower deployment, procurement plans, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.

• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and claims to ensure financial targets and profitability are achieved.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical, contractual, and operational matters.

• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.

• Conduct regular site visits, project reviews, and progress meetings to identify issues and implement corrective actions.

• Oversee contract administration, tender evaluations, procurement activities, and project documentation.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of project delivery and client satisfaction.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) and Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Singapore.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in building construction projects, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.

• Proven track record in managing school, nursing home, and factory construction projects locally.

• Experience with main contractor projects will be an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls.

• Familiar with local authority requirements, building regulations, and workplace safety regulations.

• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams effectively.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, WSH (Construction) Regulations, and other statutory requirements in Singapore, in accordance with guidelines by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and National Environment Agency (NEA)
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Site Safety and Health Plan (SHP) and Environmental Control Plan (ECP)
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety hazards and environmental non-compliance (e.g. noise, dust, waste management, vector control), and ensure timely corrective actions
• Review and update Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), and Permit-to-Work systems
• Lead safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and environmental awareness briefings; ensure all workers are properly trained and certified
• Maintain proper documentation including safety records, environmental records, inspection reports, and statutory submissions; prepare monthly WSH and environmental reports
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and environmental breaches; prepare reports and implement preventive and corrective measures
• Work closely with Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants, and authorities to ensure effective coordination of WSH and environmental matters
• Develop and implement Emergency Response Plan (ERP), conduct drills, and ensure emergency preparedness on site

Job Requirements

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower
• Certified Environmental Control Officer (ECO) recognised by the National Environment Agency
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry; experience with main contractors will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of WSH Act, Risk Management Code of Practice, and Environmental Public Health requirements
• Familiar with incident investigation, risk management, and environmental control measures
• Able to work independently and handle emergency or high-pressure situations effectively
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
