Job Summary
Assist lawyers by managing deadlines, organizing files, drafting documents, conducting basic legal research, handling receptionist duties, and coordinating courier services to support smooth legal operations.
Responsibilities
- Track and monitor deadlines according to Court rules and judges' timelines to ensure timely legal processes
- Organize and maintain paper and electronic files for easy access and efficient case management
- Manage calendars and schedule meetings to support lawyers’ workflow and client appointments
- Prepare and draft documents including bills, basic letters, and other legal correspondence accurately
- Use eLitigation and legal research platforms to perform basic legal research and gather claimant information
- Greet and attend to clients and visitors professionally while performing receptionist duties
- Manage new legal files, matters, and cases with proper documentation and record-keeping
- Coordinate with courier partners to send and receive letters, maintaining accurate records of all correspondence
