Lion City Sailors Football Academy is seeking a Senior Physiologist to deliver advanced sports science and performance optimisation services within an elite professional football environment. This role requires deep expertise in applied physiology, athlete monitoring technologies, and performance data analytics to support high-performance outcomes at the professional level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced physiological testing protocols (e.g. VO2 max, lactate profiling, neuromuscular assessments)
• Oversee integrated athlete monitoring systems (GPS, heart rate, wellness tracking) to optimise training load and recovery
• Provide data-driven insights to coaching staff on performance, fatigue management, and match readiness
• Collaborate with medical and technical teams on injury prevention and return-to-play frameworks
• Develop and implement periodisation strategies aligned with competitive schedules
• Produce detailed performance reports using data visualisation tools
• Support innovation initiatives in sports science and applied performance technology

Requirements

• Degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, or related discipline
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in elite academies or professional football environments
• Proficiency in athlete monitoring systems 
• Strong capability in data analytics tools
• Experience in evidence-based performance optimisation and load management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Effective stakeholder management with coaches and multidisciplinary teams
• Role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and match days

• Travel for overseas competitions and training camps may be required

Developmental Coach @ LCS Academy

Lion City Sailors F.C. is looking for a Developmental Coach for the Academy.

Position Summary

The Development Coach will supervise the Academy Elite Development Programme (12 to 19 years old), which includes the following:

- Micro and macro planning of training

- Management of coaches

- Evaluation of players

- Developing personal development plans for players

- Documentation in the team logbook like the weekly planning, training session reports, game reports, player evaluation meetings for all coaches

- Supervision of all teams' training, matches, and tournaments

- First line of contact with players' parents

- Advises the Technical Director on recruitment and release of players

The secondary role can include coaching of older age groups and technical skills/line training for all age groups; should the situation requires so.

Requirements

-Minimum AFC C License or UEFA C or equivalent

-5 years of coaching youth coaching experience with elite youth players

Technical Coach @ LCS Academy

Lion City Sailors F.C. is looking for a Technical Coach for the Academy.

Position Summary

The Technical Coach will be responsible for the coaching, development of talent, and delivery of multiple sessions a week. The Technical Coach will deliver the academy curriculum and actively scout and assist in the development of talent for the academy. This position will report directly to the Technical Director.

Job Descriptions

• Provide high-standard coaching to all age group teams, educating them in line with the Academy philosophy and methodology as outlined in the Academy Performance Plan

• To ensure that all Academy players adhere to club values and show a high level of respect and discipline.

• To adhere to the Coaches Code of Conduct.

• To create and execute individualized training programs for academy players.

• To maintain all coaching and games program records for each session throughout the season.

• To complete player progress reports

• To develop and maintain a professional relationship with the parents of youngsters in the program.

• To work with Academy Technical Director in the planning and execution of academy programs

• To maintain FA Licensed Coaches Club membership criteria

• To support the development of young players in a healthy lifestyle, diet, drug awareness, education.

• To take responsibility for the care and maintenance of all age group training equipment and playing kit.

• To assess trialists at both training and games and feedback to the Academy Technical Director

• To assist with sports science input where required at training sessions.

• To attend tournaments and trips when requested by the club.

• To abide by all club policies including (but not exclusive to) Safeguarding, Equality, and Health & Safety

Requirements

• Minimum of UEFA C Coaching Licence or its equivalent
