Our client, Parkson Marine Service Pte. Ltd., is a Singapore-based company engaged in the wholesale of marine equipment and accessories. They also specialise in the building, repair, and conversion of ships, tankers, and other ocean-going vessels, supporting clients in the marine industry.
We are seeking a motivated and technically competent Technical Sales Engineer to support our marine equipment and shipbuilding business. The candidate will also be responsible for promoting and selling marine equipment, providing technical advice to clients, and supporting project requirements in the marine sector.
Job Description/Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell marine equipment and related accessories
- Provide technical support and product recommendations on control systems, instrumentation, and integrated marine equipment to clients.
- Assist in system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of marine automation and navigational systems
- Work with control panels, sensors, and monitoring systems for marine applications
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow up on sales leads
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on project requirements
- Support business development and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements:
- At least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales of the marine industry
- Good knowledge of marine equipment, navigational systems, or shipbuilding/repair processes
- Strong technical understanding with the ability to translate technical specifications into commercial solutions
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and handle end-to-end sales processes
- Possess strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, or overseas assignments when required.
