Requirements:

• • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Civil & Structural Engineering from a recognized university, polytechnic or institution acceptable for C&S RTO accreditation in Singapore
  • Must be accredited as a C&S Resident Technical Officer with IES/ACES, or possess qualifications acceptable for IES/ACES C&S RTO accreditation
  • Relevant practical site supervision experience in structural works, preferably involving A&A works, hotel developments, existing buildings or complex renovation projects
  • Must have experience in demolition works, structural alteration works and strengthening of existing RC structures
  • Familiar with demolition sequencing, hacking, cutting, coring, temporary support, protection of existing structures and coordination of temporary works
  • Familiar with RC strengthening works, concrete repair, structural openings, slab/beam/wall modification and related C&S site supervision requirements
  • Strong knowledge of civil and structural details, working drawings, approved plans, method statements, risk assessments and local construction practices
  • Conversant with Singapore building codes, local authority requirements and site safety requirements
  • Able to maintain proper site records, inspection records and quality records for structural works
  • The tentative commencement date for the appointment is in October.
  • The expected duration of the structural works is approximately 6 months.
  • The project site is located in Sentosa.

Responsibilities:

• • Maintain accurate and timely work site progress records including mandatory quality records
  • Carried out and ensure both inspection and taking over of completed works comply approved design, drawings, and local Authorities requirements and regulations
  • Inspection that demolition is carried out safely in accordance to approved design, drawings, and local Authorities requirements and regulations
  • Handling of technical and engineering problems

To perform duties of a consulting engineer which includes

• Carry out civil / structural design
• Prepare calculations / plans for Authority submission
• Manage project
• Attend Projects & Consultants Meeting
• Carry out site/ building inspection
• Providing technical advice
• Liaising with relevant professional staff such as architects
• Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil and Structural or equivalent
• Conversant with AutoCAD application or other drafting software and engineering analysis software
• Familiar with Singapore Standard and Statutory requirements
• Possess Positive attitude and initiative
• Able to work independently

Requirements:

• Good Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a University accredited by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore
• Must be accredited as a Resident Technical Officer with IES/ACES
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural details, working drawings and local construction practices
• Supervision of Structural job scope
• Must have experience with good class bungalow projects
• Conversant with local building codes and regulations
• Good supervisory and leadership skills
• Start work immediately

Responsibilities:

• Handling of technical and engineering problems.
• Assist the PM in planning, programming and monitoring of construction works progress in accordance to the master construction programmed adopted.

Plan and Implement Projects

Resident Engineers are involved in the design, specifications, and execution of various projects. They use their expertise to evaluate construction projects and determine the best engineering method or practice to accomplish the job. They will establish an estimated cost and what tools and technologies are appropriate for the job as well as a timeframe for the work to be completed.

Supervise Projects

Supervising construction staff is another of the Resident Engineer’s duties. They must ensure staff are properly trained in the use of all equipment, that all staff have access to and use any safety gear and that the team is reaching the required milestones. If construction crews encounter any technical issues, the Resident Engineer should evaluate the issue and provide the appropriate solutions.

Oversee Compliance

Resident Engineers must make sure their projects adhere to all government and industry standards and guidelines. If special permits or records need to be obtained, the Resident Engineer will do so and ensure the paperwork is recorded and stored properly
