Job Summary
The Supply Chain / Procurement Representative is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the delivery of materials, equipment, and services to support project and operational requirements. The role ensures cost-effective procurement, timely delivery, and compliance with company and project standards, particularly within Marine / HVAC environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project specifications and timelines.
- Obtain quotations, perform commercial evaluations, and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms to achieve cost efficiency.
- Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, including performance monitoring.
- Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of materials to site or warehouse.
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure technical and schedule alignment.
- Monitor inventory levels and support material planning to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and contractual requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for procurement transactions and audits.
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Requirements& Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in Marine / HVAC industries.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract terms.
- Experience in sourcing technical materials such as HVAC equipment, electrical components, or mechanical items is an advantage.
- Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with import/export procedures and documentation is preferred.
