As a Forensic Accounting and Economics Intern, you will work with a team of experts to analyze the numbers and provide unparalleled client service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the of quantification of damages, valuation of business, assessment of commercial insurance claims and other assignments. The team handles the full range of disputes requiring the quantification of economic losses including contractual and shareholder disputes, fatal accident and personal injury matters, white collar crime and civil fraud and investor-state disputes. Insurance claims include property damage, product recall, liability, theft/fidelity, and business interruption/lost profits. Businesses will consist of a wide range of industries and sizes.
- Use your knowledge of Excel to interpret and analyses the financial and operating information disclosed to our team in the course of assignments.
- Undertake research using public sources and paid information sources to which the firm subscribes, in order to identify data which will help the team to develop robust and defensible economic models.
- Draft requests for documentation to be used in our analysis (in the form of discovery requests and document request lists).
- Assist in the preparation of expert witness reports, written advisory reports and working summaries to be sent to clients. You will be the first set of eyes to make sure documents, transactions and information is accurate by flagging important details for senior team members to review.
- Organize supporting documentation and input data for financial investigations.
- Assist with other assignments ranging from unusual insurance claim-related matters to investigation and advisory projects.
