Responsibilities
- Operate heavy vehicle repair tools and equipment to diagnose and fix mechanical issues, ensuring vehicles are safe and functional
- Read and interpret repair manuals, technical documents, and work orders to perform accurate maintenance and repairs
- Use Excel spreadsheets to record repair data, track parts inventory, and report maintenance activities
- Work independently during shifts to complete assigned repair tasks efficiently and meet operational deadlines
- Communicate clearly in English with team members and supervisors to coordinate repair work and report progress
- Maintain physical fitness to handle the demands of repairing heavy vehicles safely and effectively
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a valid Class 3 driving licence
- Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience repairing heavy vehicles
- Must have diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Possess a Class 4 driving licence (advantageous)
