Position Overview

The Compliance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that the company and its affiliated entities operate in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring operational integrity, and cultivating a strong compliance culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

(A) Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s compliance framework, including compliance manuals, SOPs, and registers.
• Monitor regulatory changes (MAS, ACRA, IRAS, FSC BVI) and communicate updates to management.
• Prepare and review statutory filings, licensing submissions, and annual declarations.
• Support corporate governance documentation and coordinate internal/external audits.

(B) AML/CFT, KYC, and Client Due Diligence

• Oversee and conduct end-to-end KYC processes including onboarding, screening, and ongoing monitoring.
• Apply risk-based approach for client classification and EDD procedures.
• Maintain AML/CFT programs aligned with FATF standards and handle STR filings when required.
• Ensure FATCA and CRS compliance and reporting accuracy.

(C) Risk Management & Internal Controls

• Maintain the enterprise risk register and compliance monitoring plan.
• Perform periodic compliance reviews and ensure segregation of duties.
• Advise management on risk exposure and implications of new business initiatives.

(D) Training, Awareness & Advisory

• Conduct periodic compliance and AML/CFT training sessions for staff.
• Advise management and teams on regulatory interpretation and internal policies.
• Maintain compliance training logs and ensure all employees complete required learning modules.

(E) Recordkeeping & Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive compliance records and audit logs.
• Prepare quarterly compliance reports to management and Board.
• Track remediation and follow-up on audit findings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit functions.
• Strong knowledge of MAS AML/CFT Notices, Companies Act, FATCA/CRS, and PDPA.
• Experience using screening tools such as World-Check or LexisNexis.
• Professional certifications (ICA, ACAMS, or SCCP) preferred.

Job Brief

This role supports the CEO Office across three main areas: chief of staff support, special projects, and strategic planning. The role works horizontally across functions and departments, helping to coordinate priorities, support execution, and keep key initiatives moving in a structured and timely way.

The successful candidate will support senior stakeholders, manage follow-ups, conduct research and analysis, and contribute to projects that are important to the CEO Office and the wider business.

Job Description

1. Chief of Staff Support

- Support the CEO in tracking priorities, action items, and follow-ups across business functions and departments.

- Prepare meeting agendas, notes, summaries, and presentation materials for internal and external discussions.

- Coordinate with stakeholders across teams to collect updates, consolidate information, and ensure timely follow-through.

- Help manage communications, scheduling coordination, and administrative matters relating to CEO Office priorities.

- Assist in drafting memos, briefing notes, proposals, and other materials required by the CEO Office.

- Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive business matters and internal information.

2. Special Projects

- Support and lead selected special projects under the CEO Office, from research and planning through execution tracking.

- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to gather inputs, align timelines, and drive progress on key initiatives.

- Conduct research, prepare analysis, and develop clear updates and recommendations for management review.

- Special projects may include, but are not limited to: Global Residency initiatives, and Strategic HR projects.

- Assist in preparing project plans, status reports, and materials for decision-making and internal alignment.

3. Strategic Planning

- Support the CEO Office in strategic planning, annual priorities, and selected business planning initiatives.

- Help track progress against key organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

- Consolidate data and updates from different teams to identify issues, dependencies, and opportunities for better decision-making.

- Assist with headcount planning, operating planning, and other planning exercises as required.

- Contribute to cross-functional planning discussions by ensuring information is organized, accurate, and actionable.

Preferred Profile

- 1 to 3 years of work experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, project management, startup environments, or similar roles.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams at the same time.

- Comfortable working across cross-functional teams and building effective working relationships.

- Able to think clearly, take initiative, and support both strategic topics and hands-on execution.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
