The Role

HDR is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Singapore Building Engineering Services (BES) team. This position will be working on projects across a range of markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.

In the role of Electrical Engineer, we’ll count on you to:

• Design, manage and supervise projects, establish client brief, technical requirements, scope of works, cost plans and agree deliverables, i.e. report, specifications and drawings scope for all projects with your Group Leader.

• Agree level of service, and project design duties with your Group Leader, for each project, understand relationship with fee.

• Assist Group Leader with monitoring engineering / CAD resource requirement for each project within your control.

• Carry out engineering concept design to detailed design, involve in tender and contract process, review contractor submission, ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with design briefs.

• Liaise with the contractor / PM team to produce coordinated designs that are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard. Provide positive contribution to design/project meetings. Maintain regular ‘in house’ design reviews and checks.

• Undertake technical reviews of the project (and MEP team input provided to other projects) at appropriate stages to ensure that the project approach and deliverables.

• Monitor and control design progress, design variations.

• Monitor contract staff or third-party appointments

• Maintain excellent client and design team relationships to achieve high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

• When acting as design team leader, co-ordinate with other project disciplines.

• Assist Group Leader with identifying and implementing your personal training/CPD requirements. Help develop working practices in the Company.

• Implement and manage filing systems and procedures on all projects.

• Implement Company Health and Safety. Ensure all designs respond to the local regulations.

• Assist Professional Engineer in liaison, preparation and follow up of Authority Submission.

• Work closely with Clients / Architects / Structural Engineers / Quantity Surveyors, etc.

• Assist Project Manager in upkeeping the project ISO quality documentation and records.

• Senior engineers must be able to lead projects and supervise a team of engineers / technicians.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized education institutions

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on electrical design experience in Data Center / Mix Development Building/Infrastructure projects

• Familiar with local code and authority submission procedure.

• Team player and able to work independent with minimal supervision

• Mission Critical Design / Data Centre Design Experience is an added advantage.

• Design experience with BIM is an added advantage.

• Knowledge consulting experience and successful project management experience in the MEP sector is an added advantage.

Primary Responsibilities

We are seeking a BIM Modeller to join our Building Services team in Singapore. In this role, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality digital models and documentation, with a current focus on major data centre projects.

In the role of BIM Modeler we'll count on you to:

• Understand the M&E services design and prepare drawings using AutoCAD or Revit
• Understand and comply with BIM execution plan requirements for the project
• Support project modelling requirements for the project, ensure timely deliveries of outcomes
• Create 3D model content and ensuring model quality control
• Manage model data to facilitate model coordination between multiple disciplines
• M&E Drawing production from 3D models
• Work closely with design engineers and BIM Lead in preparing the CAD drawings/BIM models
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITE/Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge on AutoCAD and MEP Modelling in Revit.
• Conversant in international or local codes and regulations as well as authority submission procedures.
• Be familiar with Singapore BCA BIM guidelines and authority submissions.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D, Revit, Naviswork & Excel
• Good communication and interaction skill.

HDR is looking for a Project Manager to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team in Singapore. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing project management services to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. You are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.

In this role we will count on you to:

• Manage all areas of project management for singular Data centre projects. This includes planning, design management, construction management, and closeout.
• Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
• Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations,and recommend resources to clients.
• Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements.
• Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
• Direct the project delivery team by providing guidance and direction to achieve goals.
• Create action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress of each project and report status and variances.
• Demonstrate ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques / procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

Qualifications& Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering preferred with 3-5 years of relevantexperience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education willbe considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
• Experience of MEP in Data centre preferred.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
