Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant Engineer to ensure reliable operation of underwater equipment through hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, minimizing downtime and supporting system integration.

Job Summary

You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test underwater equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of defective parts on machinery and subsea equipment to ensure operational reliability
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment and system failures and improve operational efficiency
• Conduct pre-deployment and post-recovery inspection, testing, and servicing of underwater equipment to ensure readiness and functionality
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults to restore equipment performance
• Support integration, assembly, and configuration of subsea systems and equipment to facilitate deployment
• Maintain and calibrate underwater instrumentation and navigation systems to ensure accurate operation
• Maintain detailed service records, maintenance logs, and technical reports to document work and support continuous improvement
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or systems to ensure proper setup and operation
• Coordinate with external contractors or vendors when needed to facilitate maintenance and repairs

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer or similar role
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and 3D blueprints to accurately perform maintenance tasks
• Hands-on experience with tools and diagnostic equipment to effectively troubleshoot and repair faults
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Engineering, Maintenance, or related field

Field Service Engineer / Customer Engineer – Role Summary
Key Responsibilities

• Support Senior Field Service Engineers (Customer Engineers) with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades at customer sites.
• Utilize digital analytics and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on:Electrical systemsVacuum systemsMechanical systemsPlasma systemsHydraulic systemsGas delivery systems
• Communicate and coordinate directly with customers regarding service activities and equipment status.
• Carry out additional assigned operational and technical duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree, military technical training, trade certification, or equivalent field service experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in field service, customer support, equipment maintenance, or a related technical role.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of:PneumaticsHydraulicsElectronicsVacuum technologyThermodynamics
• Familiarity with hand tools and test equipment such as digital multimeters.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Frequent walking and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, and climbing ladders or stairs.
• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg).
• Capability to distinguish colors for electrical and equipment work.
• Comfortable working around electrical systems and in noisy environments.

Job Summary

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration on equipment in a cleanroom environment. Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues. Communicate with vendors and provide training to colleagues. Work 12-hour rotating shifts at Woodlands Micron Fab 10.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled equipment preventive maintenance and calibration to ensure operational reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot hardware issues and perform corrective maintenance including calibration and parts replacement.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, peer specialists, and external vendors to resolve technical problems.
• Provide advanced training to less experienced colleagues to enhance team capabilities.
• Complete other ad-hoc duties as assigned, with overtime pay.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or ITE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Materials, or Engineering related field.
• Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills applied to problem-solving in technical maintenance tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to support teamwork and training.
• Willingness to learn and maintain a positive working attitude.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, alternating day and night shifts every 2-3 months.
