External Managers Department
The External Managers Department seeks to identify and develop relationships with the best breed of global investment managers to benefit GIC at large, and at the same time capturing investment opportunities to outperform our benchmarks.

What impact can you make in this role?
We are looking for a suitable candidate to join the Global Markets Team as a Portfolio Manager. The candidate will be part of the investment team which invests in funds run by external managers. Portfolio manager responsibilities include providing thought leadership on portfolio construction, conducting new manager selection and strategy due diligence, as well as structuring and monitoring existing fund investments.
 
While the role will be focused on discretionary macro, fixed income and agency mortgage strategies, the candidate may also get exposure to other strategies including relative value and commodities.

The role will be based in Singapore.

What will you do as a Portfolio Manager?
•Sourcing and performing due diligence on prospective external fund managers, including meeting managers and their teams, conducting reference checks, performing qualitative manager and strategy analysis, and performing quantitative track record analysis
•Monitoring existing investments, including having regular updates with managers, highlighting key matters to the Investment Committee, constantly re-evaluating original investment thesis and making timely recommendations
•Performing quantitative and qualitative analyses on portfolios and leading discussions on portfolio innovations including portfolio construction, trade structuring and risk management
•Performing strategy level analysis, including periodic research, portfolio risk analysis, and surfacing macro insights to the team and GIC at large
 
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
•4 to 7 years of fund allocator experience in macro investing and/or fixed income capital markets experience 
•Strong financial modelling and / or programming skills with excellent analytical ability, strong writing, and communication skills  
•Be highly motivated, intellectually curious and adept at multi-tasking

What impact will you make in this role?

As a VP, SRE Engineer (Splunk), you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise observability and reliability solutions across infrastructure and application domains. You will leverage Splunk and complementary monitoring platforms to drive proactive alerting, automation, and resilience - ensuring operational stability, risk control, and compliance with financial regulatory standards.
You will define and implement advanced SRE frameworks, establish Site Reliability metrics (SLOs, SLIs, Error Budgets), and build automation pipelines that enhance system reliability, reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR), and strengthen overall operational resilience across the organization.

What will you do as a VP, SRE Engineer (Splunk)?

Observability Engineering & Governance

• Architect and maintain enterprise SIEM solutions aligned with operational resilience mandates (e.g., MAS TRM, DORA, APRA CPS 230).
• Lead deployment, configuration, and optimization of Splunk for full-stack visibility across infrastructure, applications, networks, and user experience.
• Define and enforce telemetry data governance standards—metrics, logs, and traces—ensuring consistency, retention compliance, and security.
• Integrate Splunk with incident management, ITSM, and AIOps systems to enable predictive alerting and anomaly detection.
• Act as the SIEM/Splunk subject matter expert (SME) for architecture reviews, platform upgrades, and performance tuning.

Reliability Engineering & Automation

• Implement and champion SRE frameworks and reliability practices for mission-critical systems.
• Design and automate runbooks, alerts, and self-healing workflows using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Collaborate with Application, Infrastructure, and Cyber teams to embed reliability principles into the delivery lifecycle.
• Conduct resilience, chaos, and capacity testing aligned with business continuity and disaster recovery standards.

Cloud & Platform Integration

• Engineer SIEM for cloud-native workloads in AWS and Azure, ensuring visibility across compute, storage, and network layers.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) models using Terraform and Ansible for consistent, auditable provisioning.

Operational Excellence & Collaboration 

• Drive reduction in incident recurrence, MTTR, and manual intervention through observability-led automation.
• Partner with Service Delivery, Cyber, and Application teams to enable predictive incident prevention and root cause transparency.
• Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reports showcasing availability, reliability KPIs, and operational risk indicators.
• Provide technical leadership during major incidents, post-incident reviews, and audits, ensuring lessons learned are codified into automation and process improvements.

What makes you a successful candidate?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, or SRE roles, with at least 5+ years specializing in SIEM/Splunk engineering or observability in financial or regulated environments.
• Proven hands-on expertise in:

• SIEM Platforms: Splunk (must), EL/Elastic

  Automation / IaC: Terraform, Ansible, Python, CI/CD tools

You will be part of a team that fosters strong governance and control environment in GIC.

We are seeking potential talents to join our Internal Audit Department (IAD) as Associate/AVP, IT Audit, on a 2-year contract. This role is responsible for executing Technology reviews under GIC’s IAD and is responsible for Assurance, Advisory and Anticipatory monitoring activities covering all technology, cyber and data domains. This role will also support initiatives to continuously improve on IAD’s methodology, practices and capabilities.

What will you do as an IT Auditor?

• Conduct IT audits and reviews of technology platforms, operating systems and business processes.
• Evaluate system related controls supporting applications and business processes, as part of integrated audits
• Develop and execute audit tests with innovation, leveraging data analytics and data science.
• Identify deficiencies and provide practical recommendations in line with industry best practices.
• Obtain buy-in from stakeholders for exceptions, audit issues and recommendations.
• Provide clear and organized documentation of the audit processes and findings.
• Identify emerging risks in the environment through continuous monitoring and risk assessment, regular engagements with stakeholders and propose changes to the IT audit work plan and scope where required.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Relevant degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or its equivalent from a reputable education institute, with professional certification in security and controls such as CISA, CISSP, CISM.
• At least 4 years (Associate) and 7 years (AVP) of experience in IT audit, IT controls and security-related work, preferably with internal audit experience in the Banking and Finance industry.

The Artificial Intelligence Alpha Group (AAG) is a newly formed, AI-native investment team building and applying advanced AI technologies to deliver superior investment performance. As an Applied AI Engineer, you will design, build and iterate AI-driven investment systems end-to-end, translating raw data and ambiguous problem statements into production-grade solutions with measurable investment impact.  

You will work across data, models and systems, collaborating closely with portfolio managers, engineers and domain experts to embed AI capabilities directly into core investment workflows.

What qualifications, skills and traits should you possess in this role?

• Bachelor’s degree of higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 

• 3+ years of experience in backend development, with proficiency in a Python-based backend framework (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Flask). 

• Familiarity with RDBMS (PostgreSQL), and Vector DB 

• Working knowledge of data pipeline development, including data extraction, transformation, and integration processes. 

• Experience with cloud and large-scale data platforms (e.g. Databricks, AWS or equivalents) is a plus. 

• Working knowledge of modern machine learning workflows (feature engineering, model training, evaluation and iteration) and practical familiarity with LLMs, embeddings and prompt-based systems.

What makes you a successful candidate?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic programmes within the Strategy, Architecture, and Transformation Division of the Technology Group. Your primary focus will be on orchestrating collective efforts across various technology domains – applications, data, infrastructure, and cyber security – to deliver comprehensive strategies that shape our target-state technology landscape and business architecture. • Programme Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and stakeholder expectations. You will be responsible for managing complex interdependencies across multiple workstreams

What impact can you make in this role?

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Active Directory (AD) Security Engineer to focus on securing, hardening, and automating enterprise Active Directory environments, ensuring robust Tier 0 protection, privileged access controls, trust hardening, OU/GPO security, and cyber resilience. The engineer will work closely with Red Teams, Penetration Testing, and Threat Detection functions to identify attack paths, simulate AD-based threats, automate recovery capabilities, and continuously strengthen the enterprise AD security posture. 

What will you do as an VP, Active Directory & Entra ID Engineer?

• Design, secure, and manage hybrid identity environments across on-prem Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) to ensure resilience, integrity, and threat resistance.
• Define and implement a clean, compliant target state for identity and access management (IAM), aligning AD and Entra ID security with enterprise IAM processes and governance.
• Conduct threat modelling and exposure assessments for both AD and Entra ID to identify and mitigate identity attack paths.
• Implement and maintain Tier 0 (Privileged Access) controls aligned with Microsoft’s Enterprise Access Model (EAM) and Zero Trust principles.
• Harden AD forests, domains, and trust relationships, as well as Entra ID tenants, to prevent privilege escalation, domain compromise, and lateral movement.
• Design and manage Privileged Access Workstations (PAWs) and enforce administrative boundaries for Tier 0 and Tier 1 assets.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell and Graph API automation frameworks to:

• Audit and report AD and Entra ID configurations, permissions, and delegations.

  Enforce baseline hardening and compliance controls.

  Automate remediation, monitoring, and hygiene tasks.

• Support AD Forest recovery and Entra ID incident response automation to improve recovery time objectives (RTO).
• Design and implement AD Forest Recovery and Entra ID tenant recovery plans, perform automated recovery drills, and build operational readiness for cyberattack or ransomware scenarios.
• Manage and secure Organizational Unit (OU) delegation models and Entra ID administrative units following least-privilege principles.
• Manage and harden Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Conditional Access Policies to enforce security baselines and prevent policy abuse.
• Collaborate with IAM teams to integrate AD and Entra ID workflows (e.g., provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews) into enterprise identity lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate with Red Team, Penetration Testing, and SOC teams to identify vulnerabilities, validate attack paths, and remediate exposures.
• Simulate and analyse identity-based attack scenarios (e.g., DCSync, DCShadow, Golden/Silver Ticket, Pass-the-Hash, Kerberoasting, token replay, and consent phishing).
• Integrate Threat Detection and Response capabilities within SOC operations and SIEM tools (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar).
• Support Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or Thycotic to enforce Just-in-Time (JIT) and Just-Enough Access (JEA).
• Maintain detailed documentation, baselines, recovery guides, and post-assessment reports to enhance hybrid identity security and resilience posture.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in AD security engineering 
• Deep expertise in Active Directory internals (replication, Kerberos, LDAP, DNS, GPO) and Entra ID architecture (Conditional Access, Identity Protection, PIM, App Registrations, and Connect).
• Proven experience in AD and Entra ID hardening, Tier 0 protection, trust management, and privileged access isolation.
• Hands-on experience in hybrid identity design, including synchronization, federation, and secure integration with SaaS applications.
• Experience integrating AD and Entra ID with enterprise IAM processes, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access governance workflows.
• Strong experience in OU and Entra ID administrative unit design, delegation, and access control aligned with least-privilege principles.
• Advanced knowledge in GPO and Conditional Access policy management, including security baselining, auditing, and change control.
• Expert-level PowerShell scripting and Graph API automation for auditing, reporting, and enforcing identity configurations.
• Experience collaborating with Red Teams and Penetration Testing Teams to simulate attacks and strengthen defences.
• Proficiency with AD and Entra ID security tools such as BloodHound / PingCastle / PurpleKnight / ADRecon / PowerView / Microsoft Defender for Identity.
• Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions and SIEM integration for identity threat detection.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust and EAM principles as applied to hybrid identity environments.

As an Applied AI Engineer, you will design, build and iterate AI-driven investment systems end-to-end, translating raw data and ambiguous problem statements into production-grade solutions with measurable investment impact.

What qualifications, skills and traits should you possess in this role?

• Bachelor’s degree of higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience designing, building and operating large-scale backend and data platforms, with hands-on expertise in Python-based backend frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Flask), and deep experience supporting AI- or analytics-intensive workloads.
• Strong proficiency in modern databases and frameworks (e.g., PostgreSQL, Spark, Kafka).
• Experience designing or working with vector databases or graph databases is preferred.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, feature engineering, and ELT pipeline design principles.
• Familiarity with data quality, metadata management, and governance frameworks.
• Experience with cloud and large-scale data platforms (e.g. Databricks, AWS or equivalents) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of modern machine learning workflows (feature engineering, model training, evaluation and iteration) and practical familiarity with LLMs, embeddings and prompt-based systems.
• Demonstrated ability to ship production-grade solutions and leverage AI-native development tools to accelerate coding, testing and documentation. 
• Solid understanding of web architecture, APIs, and software design principles.
