We are hiring a GEO Specialist to help brands improve visibility across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven platforms.

We’re looking for someone with around 2 years of SEO experience who understands search fundamentals, but is not trapped in old SEO thinking. You should be curious, analytical, and excited to explore how brands get discovered, cited, and recommended by LLMs, AI search tools, and answer engines.

Responsibilities

Requirements

* ~2 years of SEO or related experience

* Strong understanding of search fundamentals

* Analytical, curious, and fast-learning

* Open-minded and not limited by traditional SEO frameworks

* Interested in AI search, LLMs, and new discovery behaviors

* Strong English communication skills

Nice to Have

* Familiarity with Ahrefs, Semrush, GSC, or similar tools

* Experience with content strategy or experimentation

* Exposure to AI tools, prompt workflows, or startup environments

The Role

You will research and experiment with what drives visibility in AI-powered search engines such as Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Gemini. This is a hands-on research and engineering role — you will design experiments, build models, and see your work directly impact the product.

What you will do:

• Design and run experiments to identify and validate GEO ranking factors
• Develop and iterate on algorithms and scoring models
• Analyze large-scale data to extract actionable insights
• Work closely with the founding team to translate research into product features

What We’re Looking For

Must-have

• PhD (fresh graduate) or Master’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience
• Strong foundation in machine learning, NLP, or information retrieval
• Solid experimental mindset — able to design tests, analyze results, and draw conclusions
• Curious, fast learner, comfortable exploring territory without a map

Nice to have

• Familiarity with how LLMs process and retrieve information
• Experience with search, ranking, or recommendation systems
• Any prior exposure to SEO or content analytics

No prior GEO experience needed — we will learn together.

The Role

You will lead research and experimentation into what drives visibility in AI-powered search engines such as Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Gemini. This is a senior hands-on research and engineering role — you will architect experiments, build and own models, mentor junior researchers, and see your work directly shape product strategy.

What You Will Do:

• Design, lead, and oversee experiments to identify and validate GEO ranking factors
• Architect and own the development of algorithms and scoring models end-to-end
• Drive large-scale data analysis to extract actionable insights and translate findings into strategic recommendations
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to define the research roadmap and translate research into product features
• Mentor and guide junior researchers and engineers on experimental design and best practices

What We're Looking For

Must-have

• PhD with 2+ years of industry experience, or Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Deep expertise in machine learning, NLP, or information retrieval
• Proven track record of designing, executing, and shipping research-driven products or features
• Strong leadership and communication skills — able to influence without authority and present findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Self-directed and comfortable operating with ambiguity at the frontier of a new field

Nice to have

• Strong familiarity with how LLMs process, rank, and retrieve information
• Hands-on experience leading search, ranking, or recommendation systems in production
• Prior work in SEO, content analytics, or search quality evaluation
• Experience building or contributing to research teams from an early stage
