Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced finance professional to join our team as the Group Financial Controller. This role is critical in providing support to the CFO in driving financial excellence across the organization, ensuring robust financial planning, strategic insight, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strong financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and deep experience in financial reporting within a public company environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership & Oversight

• Lead the end-to-end financial reporting process across all operating companies.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated group financial and management reports.
• Presentation of financial updates to the Audit and Risk Committee, Board of Directors, and shareholders on a periodic basis.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to guide executives in strategic decision-making.

2. Strategic Planning & Analysis

• Lead strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes across the Group.
• Develop and maintain financial models and business partnering aligned to organisational goals.
• Analyze KPIs to identify performance trends and strategic opportunities.
• Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking to support growth strategies.

3. Internal Controls

• Design, implement and maintain a strong control framework ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate governance requirements
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures that promote strong governance and transparency.

4. Financial Policies & Risk Management

• Develop and implement financial frameworks that support sustainable growth and profitability.
• Proactively identify and manage financial risks, including operational, market, and regulatory risks across the Group.
• Drive consistency in financial policy application across all business units.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
• Master’s degree or professional certification (CA/CPA) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years' experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience in public company financial reporting, with exposure to NASDAQ and/or SGX regulations.
• Track record of working closely with Boards, executive leadership, and auditors.

Key Responsibilities

Group Marketing Strategy & Governance

• Own and drive Group-wide marketing strategy aligned with growth and value creation
• Establish marketing governance, planning cadence, and performance accountability across subsidiaries

Digital Growth & Performance Marketing

• Build scalable digital marketing engines across paid media, SEO/SEM, influencers, CRM, and lifecycle marketing
• Drive performance metrics including CAC, CPA, ROAS, and funnel optimisation
• Manage agencies and ROI reporting

Corporate Brand & Reputation

• Lead GCL’s corporate brand positioning and brand alignment across subsidiaries
• Oversee PR, corporate communications, and external market visibility
• Support corporate narrative and investor-facing messaging as a listed company

Go-To-Market & Launch Leadership

• Own GTM strategy for major game and IP launches across regions
• Drive structured campaign planning, localisation, and cross-functional execution
• Ensure post-launch performance tracking and optimisation

Partner & Commercial Enablement

• Lead co-marketing strategy with publishers, platforms, retailers, and distribution partners
• Partner with Sales and Publishing teams to drive demand generation and revenue impact

Marketing Investment & ROI

• Govern Group marketing budgets with clear ROI expectations
• Provide senior leadership with performance dashboards and investment insights

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications (Master’s preferred).

· 12–15+ years of senior marketing leadership in gaming, entertainment, or consumer tech.

· Proven track record in scaling digital marketing with measurable business impact.

· Strong leadership in multi‑market operations and agency ecosystems.

· Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

· Deep understanding of gamer mindset, communities, and market dynamics.

· Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required due to regional stakeholder engagement

We are seeking a Deputy Chief Executive Officer to partner closely with the Chairman and CEO in driving execution, performance, and alignment across GCL’s portfolio of businesses.

This is a high-impact leadership role within a Nasdaq-listed environment, suited for a commercially astute and operationally strong executive who thrives in complex, multi-entity organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive execution of strategy across subsidiaries, markets, and business lines
• Oversee operational performance and ensure delivery of financial and business targets
• Establish and strengthen KPI frameworks, reporting cadence, and accountability structures

What We’re Looking For

• Proven senior leadership experience (e.g., Deputy CEO, COO, Managing Director, or equivalent)
• Strong track record in execution, operational leadership, and performance delivery
• Experience managing multi-entity, regional or global organisations
• Exposure to Nasdaq or U.S. listed-company environments, including familiarity with SEC reporting and governance frameworks, is strongly preferred
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including capital allocation and performance management
• Experience in gaming, digital entertainment, technology, media, or IP-driven businesses is advantageous
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with exposure to Board and investor interactions
• Fluent in English; Mandarin/Chinese capability is advantageous to support business operations in Chinese-speaking markets
