FK Dunamis, the group behind concepts such as Hachi Restaurant, The Public Izakaya,The Public Izakaya 2 and The Public Izakaya 2.5, is looking for committed and talented Sushi Sous Chef with the following capabilities to join our growing team:

Job Requirements – Sushi Chef

- Daily Culinary Duties of Preparation, Cooking & Presentation of dishes to Customers.

- Works with Owner and other Chefs to create and execute new seasonal dishes as and directed by Owner.Understands and works with suppliers to anticipate procurement, delivery, and maintain minimal inventory count.

- Monitors and undertakes to maintain costs within guidelines.

- Assist to train and guide junior chefs.

- At least 8 years experience in sushi preparation

- Has a broad spectrum of sushi making skills and culinary techniques.

- Well verse in food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen best practices

- Able to track and deliver the latest dining trends and menus

- Strong organisational, leadership, and teamwork skills

Main Responsibilities

- Setting up of tables

- Wiping tables and clearing of soiled plates and utensils

- Brewing and serving tea, water.

Full Time : 5 days work week

Part Time : $65/shift

CPF applicable for both Full Time and Part Time

• Management of Daily Restaurant Operations. Formulated micro-plans in tandem with organization objectives. Manages the business, customer & employee environment.
• Organized, committed and passionate for Customer Service & the Food Service Industry.
• Adaptable and open to cross outlet training and various postings.
• Able to be progressive and adaptable to read the business landscape and equipped with good analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Reports to the Assistant/ Restaurant Manager

Requirements

• Experienced and passionate
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Japanese customer service
• Meticulous and detailed in their delivery of service and communication
• Experience in managing complex multi operating units
• Well-groomed and comfortable working under stress and a demanding environment;
• Positive attitude, cheerful and good interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working split shift and a 6 days work week, and
• Preferably ready to start immediately or within a short notice period
