The Senior Accounts Executive will support the finance and accounting operations of assigned subsidiaries, with a focus on financial reporting, HQ reporting coordination, accounting documentation, and compliance support. The role will work closely with local finance teams and Headquarters in Japan to ensure timely and accurate reporting submissions.

Responsibilities:

• Support the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of assigned subsidiaries, including accounting records, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in improving accounting workflows, reporting templates, compliance documentation, and internal control processes.
•  Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial reports and tax-related reporting requirements, including Global Minimum Tax and Country-by-Country Reporting, for management review and submission to Japan HQ
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, local finance teams, and Japan HQ on finance-related administrative, reporting, and documentation matters
• Support the preparation of financial data, summaries, and board materials for submission to, and discussion at, Board meetings held at Japan HQ
• Maintain proper filing, documentation, and audit trails for finance and accounting records and reporting submissions

Requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related discipline 
• Good attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to meet reporting deadlines
• Able to coordinate with stakeholders across different countries and maintain proper financial documentation
• Advanced proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1 equivalent) and English including ability to read and prepare business or finance-related correspondence to support Japan Headquarters

The incumbent is responsible for achieving sales targets and margins, be involved from initiation to completion of sales cycles; with particular focus on maintenance sales, the incumbent will ensure high level of client engagement and identify development potential in existing accounts. Good customer management, strong communication skills and being willing to work in a team are key to the success of this role.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets and margins by generating recurring maintenance / variation orders through both existing and ongoing projects. The sales leads may come from referrals or tendering platforms such as Gebiz and Sesami. Preparation of sales presentations and provision of all sales related reports.
• Sales closure through new projects by providing sound technical solutions and advice to clients upon review of tender documents. Incumbent will be required to work closely with vendors and internal pre-sales team on this aspect of the role.
• Involved in sales initiation to completion by following up on business opportunities via email/ sales presentations, qualifying potential, provision of relevant quotes to clients promptly and follow through of sales cycle to ensure smooth completion.
• Increase client engagement by following up proactively on enquiries, identifying clients’ needs, working closely with pre-sales consultants to build long term relationships with clients and maintain continuous businesses with existing and new clients.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by striving for excellent customer service in terms of technical and sales aspects, resolving issues arising from technical issues, logistics issues such as shipment delays to facilitate smooth transactions of clients’ requirements.
• Identify development potential in accounts by studying the current business and project needs, be constantly updated on products entering the market and participating or self-initiate marketing events or promotions & par.

Requirements

Essential:

• Diploma in any discipline or its equivalent
• Min 5 years working experience with sales related background
• Ability to continuously develop prospects, leads, and new sales opportunities
• Strong interpersonal, customer management and communication skills
• A good team player with the ability to multi-task
• Outspoken and people-orientated
• Driven, self-motivated and ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Preferred:

The Opportunity

Reporting to and assisting the Vice President, Legal &Corporate Secretariat with the legal and corporate secretarial functions in support of the growing business within the Group, and making sure appropriate and effective legal processes are in place to manage legal exposures.

The incumbent is also expected to anticipate and guard against legal risks by developing and recommending solutions and positions to protect the Group’s interest.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the Group’s legal and corporate secretarial activities.
• Provide legal advice and services in support of business activities, including drafting and/or reviewing business contracts and agreements, to ensure legal compliance and provide advice and necessary recommendation in managing legal and commercial exposures.
• Assist with the corporate secretarial and regulatory compliance requirements for the companies within the Group, and supporting the respective Boards in meetings and passing resolutions.
• Review and implement best practice corporate guidelines and policies with regards to legal and corporate secretarial matters and compliance.
• Assist with M&A activities, including deal structuring with regards to the legal aspect, legal due diligence, and other relevant compliance activities.
• Liaise with external professionals when necessary.
• Provide legal training to sales & project team.
• Strengthen business support and effectiveness around legal process, identify areas and work on process improvement on ongoing basis.

Requirements:

• Degree in Law.
• 4-6 years of related working experiences.
• Professional Qualification/Certification: Admission to the Singapore (and/or an overseas) Bar is essential.
• Knowledge of the laws of Singapore and any APAC, EMEA and/or Americas jurisdiction(s) will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated collaborative, negotiation and problem solving skills.
• Experience in corporate governance work in Singapore and other jurisdictions and complex corporate structures.
• Understanding and experience in working with M&A, and other complex transactional work.
• Exceptional legal analysis and writing skills.
• Ability to coordinate and effectively manage large amounts of complex work.
• Ability to analyse statutes/regulations and provide recommendations
• Ability to effectively interact with different types/levels of people including senior business leaders.
