About the Role

Reporting to the VP of New Product Development within the CTO organisation, the ‘Head of Design Management – Experience’ will build, lead, and inspire a new team of Experience-led Design Managers at Dyson. This role is accountable for defining and delivering exceptional end-to-end user experiences across all Dyson categories—including Robotics, Environmental Care, Floorcare, Beauty, and emerging new categories.

As a senior advocate for the user at Dyson, you’ll set the strategy, standards, and vision for what ‘world-class user experience’ means in a constantly evolving market. You’ll shape the team, guide high-profile programmes, and influence senior decision makers, ensuring our products deliver against Dyson’s ambition for innovation, delight, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of ‘Design Manager – Experience’ experts, fostering a culture of excellence, curiosity, and continuous growth.

• Set and maintain the vision, standards and strategy for a best-in-class user experience across both physical and digital journeys.

• Champion the voice of the user at all stages—from concept to daily use—ensuring that user insight drives decision-making, feature definition, and innovation.

• Guide, coach, and set the direction for your team, supporting individual development, training, setting measurable goals, and ensuring high performance.

• Define and drive the ‘Design Management – Experience’ function—hiring, training, and inspiring the team while embedding new processes and ways of working.

• Own and oversee all elements of end-to-end user experience across Dyson’s categories, ensuring consistency, innovation, and measurable impact.

• Lead and inspire cross-functional project teams, aligning Engineering, Design, Digital, Commercial and Supply Chain with user-centred goals.

• Define and embed requirements for data, analytics, and feedback mechanisms to ensure user insights shape ongoing and future product development.

• Benchmark Dyson’s product experiences against industry leaders, translating global trends into new opportunities and standards.

• Proactively identify opportunities to deliver new, future-facing user experiences that are inventive, differentiated, and defend Dyson’s position as innovation leader.

• Present strategy, progress, and user insights to C-level stakeholders, influencing investment and buy-in across the company.

• Hold accountability for the delivery of user experience objectives—on time, to specification, and within agreed cost and quality criteria.

• Cultivate relationships with global stakeholders, commercial teams, and external partners to extend Dyson’s user experience ambition.

About the role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our mobile app teams at Dyson. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a balance of technical excellence, team development, and stakeholder management.

You will be responsible for driving the delivery of high-quality mobile experiences while building and mentoring a high-performing engineering team. You are equally comfortable contributing to technical discussions, guiding architecture decisions, and working closely with cross-functional partners to deliver impact.

Our Tech
Our mobile apps are built using modern native technologies across Android and iOS, with a strong emphasis on scalability, modular architecture, and maintainability.

On Android, we use Kotlin with MVVM architecture, Jetpack libraries, and coroutines for asynchronous programming. On iOS, we follow modern Swift-based development practices with well-defined architectural patterns.

We integrate with cloud services using robust networking layers and work closely with IoT platforms to deliver seamless connected experiences.

Our teams place a strong emphasis on testing, code quality, and continuous improvement of our development practices and tooling.

• Leading and mentoring a team of mobile engineers, supporting their growth, performance, and career development

About the role 

As a Data Product Manager in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role as part of shaping Dyson's next-generation digital initiatives that put our customers at the centre, provide functional insights to the business, and foster innovation across all touchpoints. 

Working closely with Digital Transformation Managers and App/IT delivery teams, you will: 

• Own the data and tracking requirements for Dyson’s IoT-connected products. 

• Contribute to Dyson’s digital vision and transformation roadmap.  

• Create and define Data Product requirements. Manage Data Product feasibility across product development milestones and reviews.  

• Ensure cross-team alignment on tasks across multiple backlogs (e.g. App, Cloud, Embedded Software, Enterprise IT, etc).

• Manage expectations of Data Product delivery with senior Dyson stakeholders. 

• Work to Lean and Agile practices, supporting teams as we look to improve flow. Provide concise reporting and communication of the data roadmap, planning and delivery. 

About you 

• Experience in data product management, DA/BI and software development, including working knowledge of data/analytics technologies. Natural tendency to think Data first. 

• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and comfortable with a high change environment. Excellent personal organisation, with proven ability to take requirements, generate a plan, and execute against it. 

• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team on challenging project outcomes.  

• Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the objectives of different business functions - what their respective roles are, and how they typically relate.

About us

The Technical Program Management (TPM) team oversees end to end delivery of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. The TPM assesses project complexity, allocates resources, and drives cross‑functional engineering alignment through structured checkpoints, weekly reviews, and close collaboration with Operations. They manage CAPEX, ensure functional milestones are met, and navigate a fast‑paced environment to deliver optimal, timely solutions. TPMs are proactive team players who steer coordination, make tough decisions, and support DF(X) and design‑to‑cost initiatives to achieve project goals.

About the role

• Lead a team of NPI project managers across multiple categories globally.

• Drive enterprise level cost saving initiatives spanning manufacturing, engineering, tooling, paint, and test functions.

• Act as primary contacts for major cost-saving projects at the enterprise level.

• Strategize and resource global manufacturing NPD (New Product Development) delivery, ensuring TPMs support each project.

• Provide technical guidance and coaching for the TPM team.

• Success requires a collaborative, proactive mindset—no strict boundaries, always ready to exceed expectations.

NPI Project Management Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of NPI project managers from project initiation through installation and the first three months of mass production.

• Oversee all key aspects of NPI projects, including:

• Technical delivery milestones

• End to end project planning

• CAPEX management

• DF(X) and cost-focused design reviews

• Assess project complexity and develop department resource plans, securing approval and collaboration from all Engineering functions.

• Set project checkpoints and actively engage stakeholders to achieve buy in at each stage.

• Drive alignment across engineering functions, ensuring clear deliverables and timely contributions including input from design teams.

• Guarantee that all teams integrate the required protocols (e.g., IQ/OQ/PQ, DFM, Mold flow analysis) into their plans.

• Align regularly with Operations Management regarding project deliverables and expectations.

• Conduct periodic NPI reviews with the TPMs, summarizing progress and challenges for senior leadership.

• Build strong relationships with non-engineering teams critical to NPI success, such as RDD, Operations and outsourced procurement.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project tracker, monitoring health, timelines, capital spend, and potential risks.

• Foster a positive, collaborative cross functional environment.

• Provide manufacturing and operations insights to the project team, acting as an escalation point and resolving challenges as needed.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.

• Shows a strong willingness to learn and challenge current production test and assembly methods.

• Demonstrates solid engineering judgment applied beyond their main area of expertise.

• Has managed a team of at least 5 people, directly or indirectly.

• Works well independently with minimal supervision.

• Able to travel frequently to Malaysia.

• Has at least eight years of relevant experience in NPI environments.

• Experienced in regulated settings, following or establishing protocols like IQ, OQ, and PQ.

• Understands the challenges of outsourced operations.

• PMP certification is an advantage.
