We are looking for a PHP Software Developer (Laravel / CodeIgniter / AI Integration) with up-to-date knowledge to develop customized software/web applications and be able to work independently without frequent supervision. You will work on a variety of products, including ERP, school management system, learning management system, AI Agent, B2B & B2C e-commerce solution etc. together with our programmer and designer teams. In this role, you will also be expected to work on integrating AI and GenAI capabilities into existing and new systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop feasible web application / system according to requirements, troubleshooting and debugging when requested.

• Design backend database structures for the web applications.

• Writing high-quality, clean, and concise codebase that is highly efficient, scalable, easily portable, and maintainable.

• Software design and optimization, the ability to provide technical advice & solutions to improve software quality, and research and development to bring system/software products to the next level.

• Document and maintain knowledge through code, code comments, diagrams, flowcharts, layouts, and other technical documentation in written form for the purpose of knowledge retention and transfer.

• Research, design and implement AI-powered features into existing PHP-based software platforms by integrating external AI services and APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) into web applications.

Requirements:

• At least a Diploma/Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or relevant field.
• Required skills for PHP programmer: Laravel /Lumen/ CodeIgniter framework
• Proficiency in REST API, SOAP, JSON, etc.
• Knowledge of MySQL database to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
• Strong logic thinking, analytical skills and good problem-solving skill.
• Able to work as a team player to achieve the assigned task within the deadline.
• Matured personality and able to work independently as well as in a team with a can-do working attitude.
• Preferably 2 years of working experience in the related field
• Experience in AI, Microservices Architecture, System Security, AWS server gives an advantage.

Job Description:

· Provide after-sales software technical support;

· Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve common issues raised by customers;

· Escalate urgent or critical issues to programmer team;

· Handle inbound call, WhatsApp chat group and emails from customers;

· Handle customer queries and requests and explain as layman’s term;

· Takes ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through resolution;

· Maintain ticket updates and provide timely updates to customers;

· Maintain and contribute to the Knowledge Bank used by the Technical Support team;

· Prepare user manual for customers;

· Aggregate and provide key customer insights and serve as a liaison between customers and Software Engineering/Product Development team;

· Able to pick up IT-related skill set that will be useful;

· Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet expected turnaround time.

Requirements:

· At least Professional Certificate/NITEC in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent;

· Experienced in providing Software technical support for web applications as Tier/ Level 1 for at least 1 year;

· Responsible and strong attention to detail;

· Polite and Customer service-oriented;

· Good communication skills using English to customers as well as colleagues;

· Primarily responsible for co-ordination between client and programmer team to ensure the project is delivered based on the agreed specifications and within the timeline;

· Work closely with programmer team to ensure the requirements gathered are realistic and implementable;

· Test the developed functions and make sure all errors/bugs are fixed before delivering to client;

· Effectively communicate project status to clients and maintain a good relationship with clients;

· Prepare project documentations, eg. project progress report, Software Requirement Specs documents, UAT report, project final delivery report, user manual, etc.

Requirement:

· Diploma or degree holder with at least 1-year experience in IT software project coordinating

· Knowledge in software development and web technologies will be an advantage
