Community Worker

Job Description

Community Engagement and Relationship Building

1. Build and maintain relationships with community members in public rental blocks through door-knocking and conversations.

2. Mobilise and empower community members to use their strengths and interests to contribute for community initiatives.

3. Nurture and maintain a highly participatory community environment, anchored on community work and restorative principles

Resource and Partnership Management

4. Secure, manage and sustain resources including volunteers, and partnerships with varied organisations such as grassroots, and corporates.

5. Organise, support and grow regular community development projects and programmes.

Collaboration with SSA and Community Centric Carework Support

6. Work with other social service agencies to support families with community-centric carework that addresses individual and family crises.

General Duties

7. Perform any other responsibilities and duties assigned.

Requirements

·         Diploma / Degree in Social Work or related field.

·         Preferably 3 years’ experience in community work practice or related field.

·         Experience in arts-based facilitation or community theatre is a plus.

·         Possesses a keen interest in working with less resourced families, children and youth.

·         Strong organisational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

·         An excellent team player with good interpersonal and listening skills.

·         Motivated towards learning and professional development.

·         Flexible, and open to adapt to organisational changes or ground concerns.

·         Good writing skills and comfortable with data collation for reporting purposes.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office

·         Willing and able to work on some weekday evenings and weekends.

Programme Executive

Job Description

The Programme Executive will assist community workers with programme implementation, and community development activities in public rental blocks.

1. Oversee and implement the assigned regular projects and programmes for community development in public rental blocks across various locations in Singapore.

2. Oversee the financial assistance applications, including liaison and administrative areas.

3. Assist to plan and implement initiatives with community members, including operational and administrative areas.

4. Support with volunteers and stakeholders liaison and management.

5. Provide administrative support in record keeping and tracking of both quantitative and qualitative data.

6. Perform any other responsibilities and duties assigned.

Requirements

·         Diploma in Social Work or related field.

·         Preferably 2 years’ experience in community work practice or related field.

The Admin Executive provides administrative and coordination support to the Restorative Engagement team.

Hours:

SGD13 to SGD14 per hour for 8 hours per day (3 days per week), to be able to commit at least 3 months. (WFH to be discussed).

Key Responsibilities

Training & Programme Administration

• Record and maintain attendance for CWPS sessions, CEF training, and RE-run workshops
• Update and manage training trackers (attendance, completion, hours)
• Prepare session logistics — room bookings, Zoom links, materials, reminders

Documentation & Note-Taking

• Take minutes at RE team meetings and supervision sessions (including Individual Care Supervision)
• Format and file notes in shared folders in a timely manner
• Maintain the RE documentation library — filing, naming conventions, version control

CEF Administration

• Track Fellows applications and update relevant spreadsheets
• Support stipend administration — liaise with the Admin team on paperwork and submission deadlines
• Maintain Fellows contact lists and communication logs
• Assist with scheduling Fellows sessions and sending communications via WhatsApp and email

CRM & Data Entry

• Key in session records, volunteer engagements, and attendance data into the CRM system
• Liaise with the CRM team to resolve data queries or discrepancies

Scheduling & Coordination

• Manage the RE team calendar — training dates, supervision slots, external meetings
• Coordinate scheduling with external parties and vendors
• Track and follow up on pending action items from meetings

General Administration

• Prepare and format documents, agendas, and templates as directed
• Manage printing, stationery, and materials for RE activities

• Comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds
• Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning internal systems (CRM, shared drives)
• Prior admin experience preferred; experience in social services a bonus
