Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, which includes job posting, resume screening, interviewing via phone/face-to-face, making job offers, and conducting reference checks;
• Work closely with the business entity to understand their manpower requirements;
• Recommend and manage talent acquisition platforms for a wider outreach of applicants, including online job portals and social media channels;
• Manage onboarding activities and internal communication;
• Manage recruitment agencies and search firms;
• Monitor the recruitment budget.
• Provide project support for HR initiatives;

Job Requirements:

ASSISTANT LINE MANAGER / LINE MANAGER

General Information:

Main function:

To manage the running of assigned services in a profitable manner and ensure constant dialogue with stakeholders, vendors and customers (principal and agency). To be reactive to market changes in order to ensure improved service volumes, scope, efficiencies and profitability. The role does involve travel in order to visit customers, agents and terminals.

Reports to: Hub Director

Job Description:

• P&L Responsibility;
• Improve cost efficiency and optimize yield;
• Select ships with optimum intake, bunker consumption and tonnage for lowest port dues;
• Close monitoring of daily bunker consumption via use of the system and ensure vessel consumption is in line with CH description and cross check against other sister ships previously operated in the trade or region;
• Monitor and review bunker survey report of individual stem and confirm that reported quantities are in line with master’s reported ROB. Deal with any variations immediately;
• Cost control – Direct and Indirect costs must be thoroughly understood;
• Manage terminal contracts for assigned trades;
• Manage and resolve claims (cargo claims, container damage, vessel damage) in consultation with legal team where required;
• Strategizing trade routes (existing and new). This may involve consolidation with customers and competitors or expanding existing service coverage either via own deployment or swaps with other operators;
• In collaboration with the Commercial department, acquire, compile and maintain trade statistics and reports for analysis and decision making;
• Space management and selection of cargo that delivers best NTV (Net To Vessel) returns;
• Look for opportunities to implement GRI’s (general rate increase), RR’s (rate restoration), CBR (critical bunker recovery) for all trades managed in line with cost increases;
• Manage and coordinate rate quotation and filing with commercial department;
• Liaise with agents to ensure online booking forecasts are updated timely in online system;
• Build and retain good relations with customers assigned to you in order our client become their preferred vendor of choice. The company will expect you to deal with commercial matters relating to a wider geographical scope where you will be briefed internally before discussing with the customer. This will involve regular contact via face-to-face meetings and entertainment. Out of hours work and travel may be required;
• Business development;
• Strategizing trade routes (existing and new) which involves new service development / expansion;
• Feasibilities studies on various services concept and deployment scenarios;
• Securing / expanding of slot swop and fixed slot deal

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Maritime or Business Management;
• Minimum 4 years in shipping line involving in trade.

Project Engineer (ACMV / Mechanical)

Job Description:

• Liaise with consultants, clients and subcontractors on the progress of M&E works;
• Supervise and ensure works are in accordance to the contract drawings and specifications;
• Prepare method statement, shop drawings, installation / T&C check sheets, work progress report and other relevant documents for M&E related works with project teams;
• Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants on preparation and submission of shop drawings;
• Coordinate / prepare technical submissions with suppliers / subcontractors;
• Assist the Project Manager on all M&E matters including preparing M&E Master Construction and T&C Schedule;
• Assist Project Manager to negotiate / procure materials, equipment and labour in accordance to (or below) the allocated approved budget;
• Hold technical discussions with various stakeholders to resolve technical / site issues;
• Liaise and work with relevant authorities / subcontractors / clients on shop drawings / equipment submissions, inspections, testing requirements and commissioning.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in M&E construction industry or similar capacity for degree holders and 10 years for diploma holders.
• Good knowledge in Building M&E services, with project site experience in ACMV Systems for M&E specifications, installations and maintenance;
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and detect discrepancies for combined services;
• Self-driven, independent and team player;
• Understand local legislations on M&E works;
• Possess experience in defects rectifications;
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to learn and interpret contact requirements quickly;
• Competency in Autodesk Revit and/or BIM is required.

Job Description:

• To lead the site construction team in ensuring smooth execution of work;
• Responsible for daily execution of work at site, according to schedule;
• To supervise and guide subordinates on checking of work to meet the material and workmanship requirements;
• To plan ahead of schedule so that site problems can be resolved before they have impact on cost, overall schedule and quality;
• To chair WSH committee and attend site meetings;
• To ensure that all problems and requirements of customer are being attended;
• To ensure that all problems and requirement of customer are being attended;
• To ensure his subordinates are observing Company’s Policies;
• To review and approve plant / material requisition;
• Responsible for the authorization of site purchases and rental;
• To carry out any assignments which may be given from time to time by the Management;
• To administer changes to the contract with the contracts department;
• Follow up on customer complaints. Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the customer complaints, identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes, minimize environmental impact associated with the construction activities;
• Take reasonably practical measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at the workplace;
• Ensure safe work procedures and environment control measures are implemented at the work site;
• Ensure full compliance of MOM safety rules and conduct periodic safety inspections on safety performance of all subcontractors;
• Active participate in conducting Risk Assessment;
• Ensure briefing / re-briefing of Risk Assessment to workers by supervisor;
• Authorized to stop work at any time for any unsafe work;
• Review and revised Risk Assessment;
• Implement necessary control measures to mitigate the unsafe work and to prevent recurrence;
• Other duties as assigned by the Director.

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder in Construction / Building or related discipline;
• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience as Project Manager.
