Responsibilities

• Support the Department Head in preparing the annual Audit Risk Assessment, Audit Plan, and yearly review of Internal Audit Policy.
• Develop and update audit programs prior to audit fieldwork.
• Execute risk-based internal audits across business units and assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Evaluate compliance with bank policies, procedures, MAS regulations, and AML/CFT requirements.
• Identify control gaps and recommend process and control improvements.
• Prepare audit reports, working papers, and participate in closing meetings.
• Apply data analytics to enhance audit efficiency and coverage.
• Conduct off-site monitoring to identify emerging risks from new products, systems, transactions, and regulatory changes.
• Perform monthly and quarterly follow-ups on audit issue remediation and prepare required submissions.
• Undertake routine and ad-hoc audit assignments.

Requirements

• Degree Holder with minimum 6 years of Internal Audit experience in a bank or Big 4 audit experience covering Corporate/Private banking.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, particularly MAS and AML/CFT requirements.

Job Summary

Acquire, build, and deepen relationships with existing High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) clients to increase Assets Under Management (AUM) and revenues while delivering professional advisory and portfolio management services aligned with clients’ investment objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of HNWI clients’ profiles, demographics, psychographics, and asset holdings within the Bank and externally to tailor investment strategies effectively
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HNWI clients, ensuring seamless communication and personalized service delivery
• Achieve or exceed revenue and profitability budgets by proactively managing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities
• Analyze and address HNWI clients’ investment needs and objectives to deliver service excellence and enhance client satisfaction and retention
• Conduct all sales and service activities in strict compliance with the Bank’s risk management policies and regulatory requirements
• Generate new business by leveraging existing networks and identifying potential clients to meet defined sales targets
• Utilize Microsoft Office and basic PC skills to prepare reports, presentations, and client documentation efficiently
• Apply expert knowledge of banking and investment products to provide informed advisory services that align with client goals

Required competencies and certifications

• CMFAS certifications
• CACS Papers 1 & 2

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• Relevant experience in relationship management within banking or financial institutions
• Experience in complementary industries with an established network of HNWI clients

KeyResponsibilities

• Review and approve new client onboarding and periodic KYC reviews, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with internal AML/CFT standards
• Serve as a subject matter expert to Relationship Managers, providing guidance on KYC requirements, client risk assessments, and documentation standards
• Act as a control function within the business, working closely with Compliance, Risk and Credit to address and resolve KYC-related issues
• Identify and escalate potential AML/CFT concerns or irregularities in transactions
• Support regulatory change initiatives
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Deliver training and guidance to Front Office on KYC/AML policies and evolving regulatory expectations

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in KYC/AML within private banking
• Strong hands-on experience in client onboarding and periodic review
• Solid understanding of MAS and/or HKMA regulations
• Strong stakeholder management skills and proficient in English and Mandarin preferred, to facilitate effective client and stakeholder interactions
