Job Purpose

This role will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s strategic initiatives, with a primary focus on overseeing the successful implementation of high-impact projects. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on project management, ensuring initiatives such as EPM and ERP deployments, digital transformations, or operational improvements are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving complex projects to completion in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Alignment
• Develop and refine project implementation strategies that align with the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with C-suite executives and department heads to ensure projects support business priorities and deliver measurable value.

Project Implementation Leadership
• Lead end-to-end project implementation, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, with a focus on enterprise-level initiatives (e.g., EPM systems, ERP systems, process reengineering, or technology integrations).
• Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee project teams, ensuring effective coordination among internal stakeholders, vendors, and consultants.

Risk Management and Problem Resolution
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure projects remain on track and within scope.
• Address implementation challenges proactively, leveraging data-driven insights to resolve issues and optimize outcomes.

Continuous Improvement
• Evaluate project outcomes to identify lessons learned and opportunities for process improvement.
• Drive post-implementation reviews to ensure sustained performance and long-term success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Agile Scrum, or ERP-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Workday) are highly desirable.

Experience
• 8+ years of experience in project management or strategic implementation, with at least 3-5 years leading large-scale initiatives (e.g., EPM and ERP implementations, digital transformations).
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with external vendors or consultants.

Skills
• Strategic thinking with the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable project plans.
• Exceptional project management skills, including proficiency with tools like MS Project, Jira, or Asana.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Expertise in change management and driving organizational adoption of new systems or processes.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions and mitigate risks.
• Familiarity with EPM (e.g, OneStream, Tagetik) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) or other enterprise technologies is a plus.

Project Governance

- Ensure project compliance with the company's wider portfolio management decision-making structures and processes

- Define and establish guidelines and protocol on how IT projects are executed

- Conducts oversight of all IT projects at the global level

- Provide regular project milestone reporting to management

- Ensure strict adherence to the Solution Delivery Process Guide (SDPG) and the organization's Policy and Operating Manuals

- Participate in the internal and external compliance audits when called upon (including the provision of audit request items, interviews, etc.)

Project Planning

- Define the scope of the project

- Create a detailed workplan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project

- Determine the resources required to complete the project

- Develop a schedule for project completion

-Establish the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated

Project Implementation

- Execute the project according to the project plan

- Perform document controlling duties for documents related to the project

- Monitor the progress of the project, keep updates and course-correct as necessary

Project Control

- Communicate with sponsors as outlined in project objectives

- Monitor and get approval for all budgeted project expenditures

- Monitor project expenses, cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management

- Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures

Stakeholder Management

- Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective project working relationships

- Ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met

Project Risk Management

- Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating where appropriate

- Develop and implement solutions to overcome identified risks

Qualification

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level

Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems

Basic experience of coordinating the work of others
