We are looking for Structural Fitters to build and maintain Pipe and Structural Systems.

The selected candidate will get to read blueprints, set specifications, lay out plans for fabrication and installation.

Candidate should be able to use mechanical tools following safety guidelines. Ideally with experience in construction sector and installation of structures with different materials (steel etc.)

Preferably have strong numerical and communication skills and one will find great excitement in seeing the systems built and commissioned.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints to understand requirements
• Set and modify specifications
• Inspect and prepare sites for construction operations
• Must know gas cutting and welding (Basic welding)
• Must have basic knowledge fit-up inspection
• Must have on-site work experience
• Use and maintain tools
• Collaborate with other workers (e.g. welder, painters) to produce finished constructions
• Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment (e.g. goggles)

We are looking for a skilled Welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.

A welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements·
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Co-ordinate with fitter and supervisor for job instruction.

Requirements

• Proven experience as welder
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, ARC, MIG, etc.)
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
• Proficient in English
• Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be an added advantage

• Minimum 5 years experience in driving prime mover
• Class 4 license
• Minimum 5 years experience in port operations
• Must be willing to do container unstuffing at customer premises
• Flexi work hours
• Must be willing to do night shift
• Must be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays

• To involve in the planning and execution of mechanical engineering and construction works for building services.
• To assist in prepare tender documents, design and technical specifications for tenders, as well as supervise the installation and commissioning of mechanical works.
• Able to liaise both end user customers and vendor and supplier for project coordination.
• Onsite support upon customer request if necessary to have first-hand look for project requirement.
• Determines project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving site problems

1. Ensure all safety related documents are up to date (E.g. Daily tool box meeting record, Daily safety inspection checklist, etc.,)
2. Create new Risk Assessment for Project works and Implement at workplace, RA ( Risk Assessment ) / SOP filing , Maintain Risk Register and Legal Register, Safety Award, Checklist for forklift all equipment, Medical leave filling, Incident report filing, Non-conformance, issue warning letter and applied consequent management, conduct counselling, First aid – Checklist , Fire extinguisher reports, conduct fire drills for 3 yards, refresher training for workers – Crane, Forklift, Rigger, Confined space, Hot works, Galaxy driver); (Refer to “ work procedure”)
3. Attend meeting with client.
4. Conduct SIC
5. Conduct investigation for incident /Accident
6. Conduct ESH Meeting every month
7. Involved in ISO meeting
8. Assist sites – workshop safety program whenever required.
9. Assist in shutdown project works – by preparing RA/SOP, safety supervising for year end maintenance work.
10. Follow up on request for training course registration.
