Job Duties

• Under broad direction, leads the selection and development of composites, elastomers, plastics, lubricants, and other non-metallic material systems across multiple complex projects, applying advanced materials engineering principles.
• Drives end-to-end materials development, including formulation, processing, qualification, and field deployment.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in non-metallic materials and processes for molded, formed, and formulated products.
• Leads investigation and deployment of alternative materials and processes to improve performance, reliability, and cost.
• Integrates data-driven and AI-enabled approaches into materials design, optimization, and scale-up workflows.
• Provides technical leadership on strategic material sourcing and supplier engagement.
• Advises on resolution of complex field and manufacturing issues, with direct impact on product performance and service quality.
• Embeds reliability, HSE, quality, and project management rigour across all activities.
• Contributes directly to value creation through technology differentiation and performance improvement.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline with ~10–15 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred.
• Demonstrated depth in non-metallic materials systems (polymers, elastomers, composites) and their processing.
• Experience applying data science and/or AI/ML methods to accelerate materials development or optimize performance is highly desirable.
• Track record of leading complex technical programs and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

Job Scope:
Science Lab:

1. General cleaning of labs (mainly wiping of benches, keep walkways and work areas clutter-free and clean, disposal of rubbish bins in the labs)
2. Clean and maintain science laboratory apparatus, equipment and materials
3. To do simple preparation based on the instructions of STEM instructors (SI) such as cutting litmus papers, laying out and keeping of apparatus.
4. For Preliminary Examinations, to also assist SIs to do simple preparation.
5. Do general cleaning of laboratories to prepare for the start of the new school term.

Operations: (06.45am to 12pm)

1. Responsible for the cleanliness of classrooms, special rooms, staff rooms, school commonareas and General Office.

2. Supporting school to providelogistic support for special events and daily activities, ensuring thevenue/room is properly set up in advance.

3. Attend to logistics formeetings and events (setting up and clearing up of venue).

4. Responsiblefor the security of classrooms, offices and common areas in the school by locking and unlocking doors, windows and shutters.

5. Assist the Operations Manager in basic facilities management and maintenance. Conductregular checks on facilities, escorting of Term Contractors, Pest Controllers and reporting faults to the Operation Manager.

6. Daily Checking of areas under their charge to ensure areas are well maintained.

7. Any other duties assigned by School Leaders/Operational Managers/Admin Managers.

*Please note that the school is 4-storey high, with no lift facility.

Requirements:

• Preferably a PSLE certification
• Has prior experience of operational work or school laboratory in schools.
• Good communication and written skills

Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays: 6.45am to 3.45pm
Contract Period: 25 May 2026 to 30 November 2026
Salary: $1980-$2200/month
