Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

* Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 30min lunch break

* Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 30min lunch break

* The authority reserves the right to vary the timing of the working hours when required in consultation with the contractor.

* Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Job Scopes：

The Services required are set out as follows:

a. Management of resources

 Regular Inventory management in Science Labs including stock-take, replenishing, repairs and replacement

 Assist HOD (Science) to liaise with vendors in procurement for inventory management in Science Labs

 Organise resources neatly with name labels in the Science Labs

 Assist the teacher to facilitate student discussions

 Tidying up of Science Labs

b. Preparation of resources

 Co-ordinate loan request from teachers in the Science Labs

 Preparing and set up of resources according to scheme of work & specifications given by teachers in the Science Labs

 Printing and photocopying jobs in the Printing Room

 Preparation of teaching aids such as cutting and lamination works in the Science Labs

Administrative duties:

Assist with other ad-hoc administrative duties and preparation of resources for the Authority as required by the school and/or department.

Requirements:

The Personnel should preferably have the following qualifications:

GCE 'N'/’O’ Level Certificate

The Personnel shall minimally have the following experience:

1 year of working experience in School Science Lab

Requirements

· Ph.D in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with more than 5 years of experiences in the area of specialty chemical manufacturing/applications, oil & gas or water treatment industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and optimize treatment and handling processes for existing, new, and unknown waste streams, ensuring technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Design and implement resource recovery processes from waste streams to enhance sustainability and value creation.
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to understand waste sources, identify treatment and recovery opportunities, support commercialization, and execute pilot trials.
• Identify, assess, and implement new technologies and processes, including collaboration with external partners (universities, research institutes, and technology providers).
• Establish and continuously improve laboratory capabilities, including process development and analytical methods to support R&D activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of existing operations through process optimization and introduction of alternative treatment methods.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, documentation standards, and all safety, health, and environmental requirements; maintain proper laboratory housekeeping.
• Support evaluation and development of handling procedures for high-risk and high-value waste streams.
• Contribute to new business development, including identifying opportunities, supporting new projects, and participating in facility planning and operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies and proactively introduce relevant innovations into the company.

• To support the smooth operations of two science laboratories with a focus on enabling hands-on learning for science learning.

• To assist teachers in the preparation of materials and apparatus for science practical lessons and assessments.

• To manage, operate, care and maintain the science laboratories and science learning environment (eg. school garden and science corners)

• To source and procure equipment and materials and maintain an inventory list of consumables and keep track of inventory.

• To take responsibility for laboratory safety and may be required to serve as a certified first aider.

• To assist in classes, workshops and other events in logistic support and supervision of safe use of laboratory tools.

• Provide administrative support as deployed by the school.

Contract Period: 4 May 2026 to 3 May 2027.

Option to extend: a further period of 1 year from 4 May 2027 to 3 May 2028.

Requirements:

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

* NITEC Diploma or GCE ‘O’ Level Certificate

* Have at least 2 years of similar experience as a lab technician in a primary school

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Preferably proficient in MS Office such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

* Able to handle live specimens, such as insects and chemicals.
