JOB REQUIREMENTS:

To provide safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable

· To undertake the teaching and care of a class to ensure high quality learning or care takes place.

· To maintain professional dialogue with colleagues concerning the children, parents other colleagues and the school.

· To assist in all aspects of classroom management.

· To assist and to observe and use a variety of methods to record children’s holistic development. Keep appropriate records of achievement for each child in class and provide individual child’s portfolios/reports.

· To build positive links between yourself and parents of children under your care.

CHINESE LANGUAGE OR ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Job Requirements:

· Must possess at least one of the following Early Childhood certification:-

Fundamental certificate in Early Childhood or HCIC (course still undergoing)

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Fresh graduates are welcome

Job Summary

Support inquiry-based science learning by managing and maintaining science laboratories and learning environments, assisting teachers with practical lesson preparation, ensuring laboratory safety, and providing administrative and logistical support in a primary school setting.

Responsibilities

• Support inquiry-based learning by preparing materials and apparatus for science practical lessons and assessments
• Manage, operate, and maintain two science laboratories and related science learning environments such as the school garden and science corners
• Source, procure, and maintain an inventory of laboratory equipment and consumables
• Ensure laboratory safety by monitoring safe use of tools and potentially serving as a certified first aider
• Assist in classes, workshops, and events by providing logistical support and supervising safe laboratory practices
• Provide administrative support as assigned by the school
• Handle live specimens, including insects and chemicals, safely and responsibly

Required competencies and certifications

• NITEC Diploma or GCE ‘O’ Level Certificate
• At least 2 years of experience as a lab technician in a primary school

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
  
  Working Hours:
• Mondays to Fridays: 7.00 am to 4.30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Name of Authority: Cedar Primary School

Contract Period: 4 May 2026 to 3 May 2027.

Option to extend: a further period of 1 year from 4 May 2027 to 3 May 2028.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

* Mondays to Fridays: 7.00 am to 4.30 pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break

* Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Job Scopes：

The Services required are set out as follows:

* To support inquiry-based learning for Science.

* To support the smooth operations of two science laboratories with a focus on enabling hands-on learning for science learning.

* To assist teachers in the preparation of materials and apparatus for science practical lessons and assessments.

* To manage, operate, care and maintain the science laboratories and science learning environment (eg. school garden and science corners)

* To source and procure equipment and materials and maintain an inventory list of consumables and keep track of inventory.

* To take responsibility for laboratory safety and may be required to serve as a certified first aider.

* To assist in classes, workshops and other events in logistic support and supervision of safe use of laboratory tools.

* Provide administrative support as deployed by the school.

Requirements:

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

* NITEC Diploma or GCE ‘O’ Level Certificate

* Have at least 2 years of similar experience as a lab technician in a primary school

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Preferably proficient in MS Office such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

* Able to handle live specimens, such as insects and chemicals.
