Conduct measurement and analysis using measurement tools in the lab and the cleanroom

Job scope:

➤ Conduct, analyse and publish evaluation and/or failure analysis results using measurement tools.
➤ Co-ordinate and work together with the engineer to ensure compliance with completion target dates,
and to assist the line to run smoothly.
➤ Ensure compliance with ISO quality and safety standards
➤ Proper 5S housekeeping
➤ Any other ed-hoc as assigned by the superior

Requirements:

➤ Minimum Higher NITEC or Diploma in Science/ Engineering
➤ Open to entry-level or candidate w/ few years of working experience
➤ Must have Basic communication skills in English or Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking counterparts and stakeholders.
➤ Must have basic computer skills
➤ Open to working in a cleanroom environment
➤ Open to work in night shift
➤ Willing to work overtime as required.

Job Description
• Assist in conducting validation, evaluation, and characterization of media, media processes, and related components to ensure compliance with design and reliability margins.
• Perform surface analysis measurements and support the development of analysis techniques under the guidance of engineers.
• Document and compile results of evaluations and failure analyses for review by engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers to provide input on surface analysis results and support improvement activities.
• Execute daily evaluation and failure analysis tasks as prioritized by engineers to meet target completion dates.
• Operate and maintain surface analysis lab equipment and report any issues to engineer or vendors for repair and maintenance.
• Ensure lab operations comply with ISO quality and safety standards.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by engineers to support lab operations and engineering activities.

R&D Specialist 

• Location: Tuas, Company Transport / Transport Allowance $120 if candidate possess own vehicle to work

Requirements

· Ph.D in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with more than 5 years of experiences in the area of specialty chemical manufacturing/applications, oil & gas or water treatment industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and optimize treatment and handling processes for existing, new, and unknown waste streams, ensuring technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Design and implement resource recovery processes from waste streams to enhance sustainability and value creation.
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to understand waste sources, identify treatment and recovery opportunities, support commercialization, and execute pilot trials.
• Identify, assess, and implement new technologies and processes, including collaboration with external partners (universities, research institutes, and technology providers).
• Establish and continuously improve laboratory capabilities, including process development and analytical methods to support R&D activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of existing operations through process optimization and introduction of alternative treatment methods.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, documentation standards, and all safety, health, and environmental requirements; maintain proper laboratory housekeeping.
• Support evaluation and development of handling procedures for high-risk and high-value waste streams.
• Contribute to new business development, including identifying opportunities, supporting new projects, and participating in facility planning and operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies and proactively introduce relevant innovations into the company.
