1) Experience that will demonstrate proficiency and ease with one or more programming languages, quality assurance, scripting languages and operating systems.

2) Solid hands-on development experience in backend technologies including JAVA, J2EE, SQL and related technology stack, preferably incorporating open source libraries.

3) Hands-on experience to Spring Framework, Spring Boot, MongoDB and JPA / Hibernate is a strong plus.

4) Exposure to frameworks like Karate and TestNG is good to have to carry out QA tasks. Some knowledge of test automation frameworks is also a strong plus.

5) Strong foundation expected in data structures, algorithms, problem solving and complexity analysis. 6) Strong designing, analytical, programming & communication skills needed, along with aptitude for building stable solutions.

7) Knowledge about writing unit test cases using frameworks like JUnit / TestNG is desired.

8) Some demonstrated experience with n-tier web application development and experience in latest JDK is desired. Java / J2EE certification is a Plus. Experience with web services standards and related technologies (XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, WS*, AXIS, JERSEY) is nice to have.

9) Demonstrable experience utilizing object-oriented patterns and design best practices is a strong plus.

10) Exposure to tools like Postman / any REST Client is desired. LINUX skills are required.

11) Exposure to frameworks like Karate and TestNG is good to have to carry out QA tasks. Some knowledge of test automation frameworks is also a strong plus.

12) Working knowledge of Continuous Integration / Delivery, and Test Driven Development is good to have.

13) Knowledge in micro services and hands-on experience on container platforms like Kubernetes, Docker and OpenShift would be a strong plus.

14) Hands on experience in distributed architecture & data streaming approaches like Kafka and RabbitMQ is a strong plus.

Purpose of Role:
Work cross-functionally with Global Payment Compliance team to deliver actionable AML insights, monitor compliance data trends, and resolve high-priority customer investigations across our global business lines.

Responsibilities:   

• Document Intelligence & Taxonomy: Own the maintenance and expansion of our global government-issued ID library. You will research new document types, identify key security features, and ensure our eKYC products are configured to handle diverse global formats correctly.
• Core Compliance Analytics: Monitor and report on the health of our KYC/AML funnel. You will analyze pass rates, rejection reasons, and false-positive hits, providing insights that help the team understand where we are losing legitimate users or missing risks.
• Bug Forensics & Case Investigation: Act as a key point of contact for complex case escalations. You will investigate "edge cases" to determine if they are caused by product bugs or user error, and work with engineers to track these issues to resolution.  
• Vendor Performance Monitoring: Regularly analyze data from third-party verification providers. You will evaluate their accuracy and speed, helping the team determine if our partners are meeting their service level agreements (SLAs).
• Product Optimization Insights: Contribute to product requirement discussions by providing data-backed suggestions. You will help identify friction points in the user journey and suggest improvements to the product interface or backend logic.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• 5-8 years of experience in Data Analytics, Trust & Safety, or Fintech. You should have a proven track record of handling data-heavy tasks independently.   
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (joining tables, filtering, and basic aggregations). Experience with Excel or similar tools for data visualization and reporting is required.
• Problem Solving: A logical approach through troubleshooting. You should be able to look at a failed transaction and trace the data to find the root cause.            
• Fintech Knowledge: Familiarity with the basic principles of KYC, AML, or Sanctions.                 
• Tooling: Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or internal BI dashboards.
