1) Experience that will demonstrate proficiency and ease with one or more programming languages, quality assurance, scripting languages and operating systems.

2) Solid hands-on development experience in backend technologies including JAVA, J2EE, SQL and related technology stack, preferably incorporating open source libraries.

9) Demonstrable experience utilizing object-oriented patterns and design best practices is a strong plus.

10) Exposure to tools like Postman / any REST Client is desired. LINUX skills are required.

11) Exposure to frameworks like Karate and TestNG is good to have to carry out QA tasks. Some knowledge of test automation frameworks is also a strong plus.

12) Working knowledge of Continuous Integration / Delivery, and Test Driven Development is good to have.

13) Knowledge in micro services and hands-on experience on container platforms like Kubernetes, Docker and OpenShift would be a strong plus.

14) Hands on experience in distributed architecture & data streaming approaches like Kafka and RabbitMQ is a strong plus.

Job Summary: We are looking for a hands-on Senior Automation Test Lead with strong expertise in Java Selenium automation frameworks and deep experience in banking/financial systems. This role requires active involvement in scripting, framework enhancement, and test execution — not just team management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation test frameworks using Java & Selenium
• Write and maintain automation scripts (hands-on coding required)
• Execute automated and manual test cases for banking applications
• Work closely with developers and business stakeholders in Singapore
• Identify, track, and resolve defects using JIRA/ADO

Mandatory Requirements

Education

Responsibilities:

• Drives the test engineering strategies , establishing practices covering automation, performance testing and mobile testing.
• Establishes test automation best practices, standards and guidelines and drives its adoption
• Conducts regular reviews of test automation scripts to ensure compliance and high reusability

Requirement:

• Strong in Java, Selenium, Web Services, API test automation, UI automation, CI/CD tools (i.e. Jenkins / Gitlab/Bitbucket/GitHub) and SQL DB (concepts and queries)
• Experience in working on an Agile Environment
• Experience working with Tools like Swagger, JIRA, Confluence, Soap UI and Postman.
• T24, TAP, TPH & BFS domains is a plus and value add

About the role

We are looking for a test automation engineer to own software quality across our client's international product line. This is an engineering-heavy role — you will design and implement automated test frameworks from the ground up, lead test strategy, and work as a peer alongside product and development teams throughout the full development lifecycle, not just at the end.
