Commercial Loans Manager (Hire Purchase)
Salary: $7,000 - $10,000 + Variable Bonus
Location: Pandan Road
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end loan lifecycle, from application and credit assessment to approval, documentation, and disbursement.
- Ensure efficient loan processing while maintaining strong risk controls and service standards.
- Monitor portfolio performance and implement strategies to maintain healthy asset quality.
- Evaluate loan applications and conduct detailed credit assessments.
- Make sound lending decisions in accordance with company policies and risk appetite.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal controls, and industry best practices.
- Review financial statements, credit reports, and supporting documents to assess borrower suitability.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of loan officers and credit professionals.
- Identify opportunities to improve lending workflows and operational efficiency.
- Monitor delinquency trends and portfolio risk indicators.
- Work closely with collections teams to minimize defaults and improve recovery rates.
- Recommend proactive measures to strengthen portfolio quality and profitability.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Accountancy, or related disciplines.
- 3 years of experience in banking, lending, loan management, credit underwriting
- Strong understanding of credit assessment, risk management, and lending principles.
- Proven experience reviewing financial statements and making credit decisions.
