Our company is situated in Jurong West. We are a manufacturing company looking for a Store Assistant:

• no experience required as on the job training is provided
• able to communicate in simple English and Mandarin
• main duties- packing of goods
• 8am-5pm with alternate full Sat off

• In charge of daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules;
• Manage day-to-day Purchase Order administration and procurement activities including coordinating activities with suppliers, engineers, supervisors and liaise with all party involved in the project;
• Sourcing and purchasing of materials and related products needed for company projects as well as prepare material catalogue for submission;
• Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and overseas vendors;
• Evaluate vendor’s quotation and liaise with project team to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications for the project are met;
• Advise internal and external on issues regarding purchasing Terms & Conditions.
• Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors;
• Assist in ISO Annual Performance Review for vendors;
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time and best prices to ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation;
• Management of existing supplier relationships and contracts and renegotiation of supplier contracts where required;
• Actively searching for alternative sources and solutions of supply;
• Working closely with Project Team members to ensure continuity of supply;
• Responsible for implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements;
• Handle office administration, ISO matters as and when required;
• Other ad hoc duties as and when assigned by the superior or management.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or its equivalent;
• Minimum 1 year working experience in the building construction industry;
• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
• Independent, committed, reliable, proactive and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Authorities and Responsibilities
To manage warehouse incoming – out going goods and to ensure proper store management and control include packing of goods
To maintain and control inventory data in ERP (Navision) system accurately and promptly.
To manage goods receipt / issuance with proper documentation control.
Periodic stock counting.
Liaison with vendor on logistics matter.
Maintain / practise 5 S house keeping and Health & Safety regulation.
Competence Requirement
Secondary level with computer literacy.
Hands on application knowledge on Microsoft Excel.
Preferably with 1 year relevant working experience in warehouse / store environment.
Physically strong and healthy.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with local and overseas suppliers to recommend the most competitive options and subcontractors
• Ensure a continuous supply of required goods and materials, proactively communicating any supply risks impacting business operations
• Negotiate contracts to improve prices and business terms using procurement best practices to achieve cost savings
• Review material specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards and contract requirements
• Manage and track Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in internal systems to ensure the timely delivery of procurement projects
• Maintain and update the approved supplier list, including qualifications, delivery times, and potential development opportunities
• Keep relevant stakeholders informed on delivery progress and status within expected timelines

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction or civil engineering industry

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with sourcing and material understanding
• Experience working on large-scale projects
• Experience with LTA projects or infrastructure projects is an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders for both internal andexternal customers
• Liaise with suppliers on pricing, quotations,and delivery timelines
• Negotiate pricing and terms with supplierswhere required
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timelystock replenishment
• Conduct monthly stock take and maintainaccurate inventory records
• Handle outlet stock replenishment andcoordination
• Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS),PSB certificates, and test reports
• Ensure proper documentation and filing ofprocurement records

Requirements

• Minimum O-Level or equivalent qualification
• At least 1 year of relevant working experiencepreferred
• Basic knowledge of procurement and inventoryprocesses
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able tomultitask

Job Summary:

Supporting role in Logistics Inbound & Outbound activities

Job Responsibilities: (Key responsibilities of the job)

• Packing & Palletizing and related logistics assistance for movement of stocks/ products
• Label goods received with accuracy and ensure proper storage of goods as required
• Material kitting for outbound transaction & material movement to production shopfloors
• Escalate to Supervisor/ Manager if found concern on safety issues or potential breakdown in warehouse process gaps that may lead to inventory inaccuracy, quality of the materials and delivery during receiving and materials issuing
• Ensure receiving items are correct and complete with the accompanying documents and strictly following the documented Work Instruction and Procedures.
• Notify Logistics for any discrepancy for receiving & outbound items
• Ensure that the storage area and the goods are properly maintained
• Other duties as and when assigned

Job Requirements:

• Minimum GCE N level or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of English.
• Basic inventory knowledge
• Attention to detail (correct labelling & packing).
• Willing to Perform Over Time.
