What does an Offline Editor do at WPP Production? 

We are looking for a talented Offline Editor with an eye for beauty and premium brand storytelling to join our post production team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting compelling edits for high-end beauty and personal care campaigns — from raw footage through to a polished, client-ready cut. Working across shoots, stock, and illustration-based content, you will bring creative instinct and editorial precision to every project, helping shape the visual narrative that defines how beauty brands communicate with their audiences globally.

Reporting Lines & Key Stakeholders
This role reports to the Head of Broadcast and works closely with the broader talent post production team, as well as client-side agency teams and brand stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 

• Analyse all received material — separating by parts, checking sync, and initiating the decoupage process with a careful eye for quality and continuity
• Lead the end-to-end editing process: assembling commercials, refining scene details, cuts, and montage to meet the elevated aesthetic standards of high-end beauty clients
• Lay audio on soundtracks, ensuring sound and vision are in perfect sync throughout
• Prepare offline edits and submit for client approval, managing feedback rounds and implementing adjustments efficiently and accurately
• Prepare final copies for broadcasting, ensuring all technical and compliance requirements are met
• Insert film ID information on clapperboards and follow broadcaster-specific formats to ensure timely and compliant delivery
• Save and archive master files to the server in an organised and consistent manner
• Conduct reference research to inspire and complement creative editorial decisions, staying current with beauty advertising trends and visual styles
• Support the broader post production team across a variety of formats including TV commercials, digital campaigns, and global versioning

Requirements 

• Proven professional experience in offline editing, ideally with a portfolio that includes beauty, personal care, or premium FMCG advertising
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere, including proxy workflows, media conversion, and all core editing functions
• Strong working knowledge of post production tools including Flame, Nuke, After Effects, Final Cut, Arnold, and Photoshop
• Solid understanding of cinematographic and editorial techniques as applied to beauty and commercial content
• Familiarity with a wide range of video formats and their appropriate uses across broadcast and digital platforms
• Proficiency in material conversion workflows to optimise for fluid editing — using Media Encoder, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent tools
• Experience with material selection, subtitling, clapperboard insertion, audio sync, and copy preparation
• Working knowledge of broadcaster delivery requirements, with experience ensuring compliance to avoid transmission failures
• Proactive, organised, and deeply committed to project deadlines and deliverables
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills — comfortable working directly with clients and creative teams in attended sessions
• Resilient and adaptable under pressure, maintaining quality and composure across tight turnarounds

WPP Production is seeking an experienced Online Editor with a strong technical background to join our busy post-production department. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in finishing high-end beauty and cosmetics content, with a keen eye for skin tone accuracy, product detail, and the elevated aesthetic standards that premium beauty brands demand.

Primary editing duties include the online finishing of broadcast and digital commercials, with a focus on the beauty and FMCG category. The role requires ensuring all deliverables meet broadcast legal and technical standards across multiple markets, including but not limited to Singapore and the broader APAC region.

A solid understanding of end-to-end post-production workflows — including VFX, colour grading, motion graphics, and audio finishing — is essential. You will be expected to perform confidently in client-attended sessions, advise producers on timings and technical feasibility, and maintain a high standard of service delivery.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Proven experience as an Online Editor in a broadcast or post-production environment, with a portfolio that includes beauty, cosmetics, or luxury FMCG work
• Advanced proficiency in DaVinci Resolve and/or Flame; working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
• Strong understanding of video codecs, intermediary formats, and post workflows (EDL, XML, MXF, standards conversions, etc.)
• Solid grasp of broadcast technical QC processes and delivery specifications (free-to-air, OTT, digital/social)
• Proficiency in Mac OS and file-based workflows; experience with media asset management systems is an advantage
• Competence in media management, version control, and project archiving

Beauty & Category Knowledge

• Demonstrated sensitivity to beauty-specific finishing requirements — including skin retouching, pack shot accuracy, product sheen, and colour fidelity
• Familiarity with beauty brand guidelines and the exacting QC standards of prestige and mass-market cosmetics clients

Soft Skills & Working Style

• High level of communication skills with confidence in client-attended sessions
• Ability to support and advise post producers on timelines, technical constraints, and solutions
