The Investment Services Platform Team (ISPT) is a central team within Platform Operating Model Control and Support in Global Operating Platform, reporting to the Global Head of Platform Control and Support with a global remit. About the Team

The Japan Securities Settlements Operations team supports Tokyo-based trading and sales desks, ensuring seamless securities and cash exchanges. Though the business is Japan-focused, the team operates out of Singapore, offering a global perspective and collaborative culture.

The position involves ensuring timely transaction delivery, maintaining operational controls to mitigate operational risks.

• Daily functions include high volume and constant liaising with agent banks, brokers and counterparties throughout the Japan market hours via telephone and emails. Pre-matching and fail trade management abiding to strict market cut offs, report preparation and break resolution are also part of the scope.

As an Operations Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth and timely securities transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing high-volume trade settlements and ensuring timely delivery
• Liaising with agent banks, brokers, and counterparties during Japan market hours via phone and email
• Handling pre-matching, fail trade resolution, and strict market cut-off adherence
• Preparing reports and resolving trade breaks
• Maintaining robust operational controls to mitigate risk

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience in operations, preferably in finance or securities settlements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and ownership of tasks
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• This is a 6 month renewable contract

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written) – highly preferred but not mandatory
• Exposure to equity products or prior experience in settlements

• Consolidate and summarize fuel consumption data across the entire fleet
• Support fuel saving initiatives and decarbonisation activities
• Conduct comprehensive analysis and reporting on fuel consumption and vessel performance
• Research and evaluate new vendors and emerging technologies for vessel modifications and efficiency upgrades
• Monitor the utilization for energy saving devices
• Maintain regular condition checks for D/G and Boilers to ensure optimal performance and early detection of abnormalities
• Conduct research and propose new technical solutions or vendors to enhance fleet efficiency.
• Support in any ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Core Experience: Min 2 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) engineering or analysis within enterprise ICT environments.
• Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with IAM/IGA tools (e.g., SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta) and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).

• Cloud Security: Familiarity with cloud-native security tools (AWS IAM, Azure Policy) and Zero Trust Architecture principles.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as CIAM, CAMS, Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300), Okta Certified Professional, or CISSP will be an added advantage.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex access issues and the ability to document technical identity workflows clearly.
• Education: Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related disciplines.

• Support system-related projects, including data updates, testing, and process improvements.

• Perform administrative and data management duties to support daily operations.

• Familiarity with data reconciliation, invoice review, and workflow management systems is preferred.
