The Laboratory of Skin Stem Cell Dynamics, headed by Dr. Kenneth Lay, investigates how stem cells of the skin govern tissue homeostasis and contribute to disease pathogenesis so as to reveal novel pharmacological intervention points. We focus on two stem cell populations that maintain distinct compartments of the skin throughout our lifetime: epidermal stem cells and hair follicle stem cells. The A*STAR Skin Research Labs is seeking a Scientist with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Biotechnology to lead and support analytical research on the Digital Twin of Skin (DTS) and optical metrology of Asian skin. Skin is a remarkably complex organ, and our approach embraces this richness by decomposing it across multiple spatial and biological scales—nano, micro, and meso. At the nanoscale, this includes molecular and cellular information such as DNA, RNA, proteins, and other biochemical constituents, while higher scales capture tissue structure, optical properties, and functional responses.

The Digital Twin of Skin will integrate rigorous biophysical modeling with state-of-the-art AI methodologies into a unified framework that links mechanisms with data and prediction with interpretation. Importantly, the DTS will be explicitly tailored to address melanin-related challenges in Asian skin, including its influence on optical signatures, light–tissue interactions, and downstream diagnostic and therapeutic accuracy. Job Scope:

• Carry out minor building works, plumbing, and other related repair and maintenance tasks.
• Perform regular maintenance and servicing of building systems.
• Inspect, maintain, and ensure proper functioning of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Attend promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and clients.
• Record job completion details, including time-stamped documentation after each task.
• Assist with any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Willing to work outside normal office hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.

• Willing to travel to different work sites as assigned.

• Responsible and able to respond to urgent maintenance issues in a timely manner.

• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, and repair works preferred.

• Provide overall supervision of production activities.
• Plan, organize and lead a team of production workers to achieve production target and output, cycle time, and yield.
• Improvement in maintaining product quality and productivity. Provide a guideline to check on processes thereby assuring that work is done by the operators.
• Monitor the daily efficiency status of the line.
• Ensure good housekeeping and safety at the workplace.
• Oversee hiring and training of food production personnel
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• To assist in preparation of BIM model and content for BIM coordination meetings
• Adhere to BIM execution plan and project workflow criteria under the direction of Architect in-charge
• Support project team and efficiency in workflow to achieve BIM deliverables as per requirements timely
• Leveraging BIM software and tools as a methodology to coordinate design documentation
• Assist in updating BIM standard and template for project
• Familiar with BIM submission, regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

• Specialist Diploma in BIM/VDC preferred
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in building contruction (Architecture), Singapore
• Knowledge of authorities' requirements and overall project process
• 5 days work week, Mondays to Fridays
• Location: Bugis, Singapore

Responsibilities 

• Ensuring the maintenance and repairing of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation including 8TS building's water-cooled chiller system and 6TS building's VRV3 aircon system 
• Regularly carrying out preventive aircon maintenance measures: Changing of faulty pieces  
• Routine inspection of building 
• Ensure work are in compliance to established SOPs 
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring panel for office building and retail stores 
• Perform general building maintenance 
• Repair and maintain lighting fixtures 
• Perform troubleshooting and recommend appropriate corrective solutions  
• Constantly improve the work processes
• Knowledge in plumbing and audio systems are added advantages  
• Perform any ad-hoc duties or responsibilities assigned 

Requirements

• At least a NITEC in Electrical, ACMV, Building services or related field  
• Knowledge of ACMV, VRV system and Cooling Tower System is essential
• At least 5 years’ experience in relevant field 
• Familiar with ACMV and water-cooled chiller system
• Able to manage multiple projects within the scope of work and stay on task 
• Able to work well under pressure with minimal supervision  
• A team-player with positive learning attitude
