Job Summary

The Accounts Executive supports daily finance and accounting operations, managing full sets of accounts with accuracy and confidentiality in a corporate environment. This role involves routine accounting tasks, external coordination, and month-end reporting support.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end closing to ensure accurate financial records
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, bank reconciliations, and accounting schedules to support financial operations

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Raise Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders based on approved requests, ensuring completeness and compliance with company policies.
• Source quotations, perform price comparisons, and liaise with suppliers on pricing, lead time, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure procurement requests are justified and aligned with operational needs.
• Follow up on deliveries and resolve discrepancies in pricing, quantity, or specifications.
• Perform 3-way matching (PO, Delivery Order/Service Confirmation, supplier invoice) and coordinate with Accounts Payable for invoice verification and processing.

• Support collection efforts, including documentation for offsets, settlements, or payment arrangements where applicable.

We are looking for a diligent and proactive Account Executive to support the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle vendors’ invoices including checking, verifying, and posting the accounts payable data into accounting system for all schools.
• Check and process staff expenses claims.
• Process payments, manage GL, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing (update all supporting schedules).
• Check and update AP bank transaction to ensure all vendor invoice payments are accounted for and posted.
• Prepare and provide vendor payment forecast for funding arrangements to Treasury.
• Prepare and post bank charges, accrual, reversal of accrual and prepayment journal entries.
• Assist with statutory reporting, annual audit preparation, and tax compliance (corporate tax and GST filings).
• Maintain proper documentation, internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• LCCI/Diploma/Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiar with SFRS, GST reporting, and month-end closing processes.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative working attitude.
