Site Engineer (Geotechnical Experience Preferred)

Work Schedule: 6 days per week

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure geotechnical and underpass construction works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of pipe jacking / mining activities
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and site teams for smooth project delivery
• Oversee project progress, reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Plan and allocate resources, coordinating closely with project and site teams

Key Duties

• Coordinate with stakeholders (QPD, QPS, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities) to ensure efficient project execution
• Oversee day-to-day site operations for underpass and geotechnical works
• Supervise subcontractors and workers, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical specifications
• Monitor geotechnical instrumentation and ground conditions to ensure structural stability and safety
• Conduct regular site inspections to track progress and ensure adherence to approved methods
• Review and optimize engineering processes to improve efficiency and productivity
• Prepare and implement method statements, work procedures, and technical documentation
• Develop and maintain project schedules, progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly), and Annex C submissions
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to secure resources and resolve technical issues
• Identify and address site challenges (e.g., ground conditions, design discrepancies) and raise RFIs where necessary
• Ensure accuracy in site setting out, monitoring works, and compliance with geotechnical design requirements
• Support the Project Manager in liaising with authorities to meet regulatory and submission requirements
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients and consultants on project progress
• Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure all works meet contract specifications
• Maintain proper documentation, including site records, reports, and inspection logs
• Ensure all testing, monitoring, and inspections comply with project and contractual requirements
• Monitor resource utilization to minimize waste and improve cost efficiency

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in pipe jacking, tunnelling, or mining works preferred

ASTRAWAVE develops chips for Data Processing, IP Licensing, Network, Bus, Chiplet Interconnect as well as Chip Customization for different customers. We arecurrently seeking experienced analog mixed signal layout and CAD designers tojoin our team in the development of high speed/RF solutions which will be usedto complement our current products.

Key Responsibilities

Realize layout design from schematic presentation.

Layout design implementation includes the following functions:

- Floor planning and device placement

-Power and Signal routings and Integrity optimization

-DRC/LVS/ERC/ANT/ESD/PERC/LVL and necessary Physical Verification

-Passing DRC rules and ensuring LVS

-Preparing material and reviewing of layout

-Checklist/Methodology to ensure quality of layout

- Layout methodology and enhancement

Participate in post layout adjustments and block/IP activities.

Good understanding of AMS layout fundamentals/EMIR/RC delay/DecouplingCaps/Latch-up.

Preferred Experience

Experience working on technology node below 16nm.

Experience working on high-speed or RF layout.

Experience in TX/RX/PLL/ADC/DAC/etc. is a plus.

Experience working with Cadence skills or equivalent tools for pcell development(perl/python/tcl) and automation to increase layout productivity.

Understanding of process technology and circuit design.

Academic Credentials

Diploma or bachelor’s in electrical/computer/electronics engineering or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client and Stakeholder Engagement

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and third-party vendors.

Represent the company in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-tender clarifications.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align proposal strategies with client expectations and project objectives.

• Tender and Proposal Management

Review and analyze commercial and technical requirements of tender documents.

Collaborate with the Bidding and Project Management teams to develop cost-effective and technically compliant work plans.

Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals, including rate analysis, bill of quantities (BOQ), and risk mitigation strategies.

Draft technical write-ups, method statements, and execution strategies tailored to the project scope.

• Cost Estimation and Analysis

Conduct accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and budget planning for various M&E scopes.

Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and pricing structures for management review and client submission.

Evaluate and recommend qualified subcontractors and vendors based on cost, quality, and reliability.

• Contract Review and Handover

Participate in negotiation and finalization of contract terms and conditions with clients and subcontractors.

Review Letters of Award (LOA), purchase orders, and project contracts for compliance with proposal commitments.

Facilitate a seamless handover of project information and documentation to the Execution/Project Delivery Team.

• Documentation and Reporting

Prepare and submit Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages, commercial and technical proposal presentations.

Maintain accurate records of tender documentation, bid clarifications, and correspondence with stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Sales/Tendering, Contracts Management, Electrical Quantity Surveying, or Project Management in the M&E sector.

• Possess a Degree, Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, M&E Quantity Surveying, or Contracts Management.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and participate in large-scale tenders, coordinating inputs from multiple departments.

• Strong knowledge of commercial and contract terms, with excellent negotiation and analytical skills.

• Proficient in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and technical documentation in compliance with tender requirements.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to meet tight submission deadlines.
