Perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing as part of R&D studies.
Preparation of media, perform sample plating, incubation and colony enumeration.
Handle and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning accurately.
Document results in Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and upload data into the LIMS system (NEXUS).
Maintain lab cleanliness and manage lab supplies to ensure a well-organized and efficient work environment.
Ensure adherence to all site-specific safety and hygiene protocols.
Communicate any issues or abnormalities to R&D personnel and team leaders immediately.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the registration and de-registration of vessels under different flag states

• Prepare and submit statutory documents to flag administrations and relevant authorities

• Coordinate with classification societies, flag registries, and port authorities on documentation requirements

• Maintain and update vessel records, certificates, and registration databases

• Track expiry dates of vessel certificates and ensure timely renewals

• Liaise with internal departments (operations, technical, legal) for required documentation

• Support in flag changes, ownership transfers, and mortgage registrations

• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and flag state requirements

• Assist in audits and inspections by ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, or related field

• Prior experience in vessel registration, ship management, or maritime documentation is preferred

• Knowledge of flag state requirements and maritime regulations will be an advantage

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Good communication and coordination abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Role Purpose

The Yo-Chi Assistant Venue Leader is responsible for creating great customer experiences by supporting the Venue Leader in running a seamless venue operation. This includes leading a strong customer service focus, driving quality standards, people management, maintaining a safe working environment, and financial accountability to achieve commercial results.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Always maintain a clean and tidy venue, ensuring team members are aware of their roles and tasks
• Address any customer concerns or issues with professionalism and care and address any escalated matters
• Ensure all food products are prepared to adhere to the respective operational procedures
• Manage all food inventory to maximise sales and profitability
• Ensure all team members adhere to all Yo-Chi policies and procedures
• Record and act upon any identified hazards in the venue
• Provide feedback and ongoing coaching of the team to build on product quality, knowledge and service skills
• Lead by example, demonstrating the standards of care and customer service that are expected of the team
