As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a committed, hands-on, and detail-oriented Accountant to support our finance operations in a dynamic trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle full set of accounts, including General Ledger and preparation of audit schedules

* Review invoice postings and ensure timely and accurate processing of payments

* Manage intercompany transactions, billings, reconciliations, and balances

* Review staff claims to ensure accuracy and proper supporting documentation

* Monitor cash flow and support daily cash management activities

* Follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely collection

* Maintain fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation

* Prepare tax schedules and liaise with tax agents on corporate tax matters

* Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns

* Liaise with external auditors and support annual audit processes

* Analyse financial data and prepare reports for management review

* Support finance operations in a high-volume trading environment

* Perform other ad-hoc finance duties as assigned

Requirements

* Degree or Diploma in Accounting / Finance / related discipline

* Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience

* Proven ability to handle full set of accounts independently

* Experience in steel / metal / trading / manufacturing industry is an advantage

* Familiar with high transaction volume and inventory-based business preferred

* Experience in consolidation and audit is a plus

* Proficient in accounting software; experience with trading-related systems is a plus

* Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and ownership

* Meticulous, well-organised, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Job Description

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities for construction projects

• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction period

• Measure and value work done at site

• Prepare and assess progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts

• Evaluate tenders, quotations, and subcontractor claims

• Assist in procurement of materials and subcontractors

• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and contractors

• Maintain proper cost records and project documentation

• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and workplace safety regulations

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline

• Relevant experience in the construction sector

• Knowledge of construction contracts and cost control procedures

• Able to read and understand construction drawings

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic construction software

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines
