As an OCT Modeling Engineer, you serve as the primary contact for the manufacturing network. You assess and report the capital impact of process changes to senior leaders in Manufacturing and R&D. You will be responsible for connecting many parts of the business in order to drive the execution of manufacturing and cost saving processes, including supply change, finance, engineering, procurement, production and planning. Innovation is highly valued at Micron, and you will have the opportunity to develop new tools to expedite, optimize and refine the planning and reporting processed used across the network. The ability to understand and effectively communicate the capita and operational impacts of manufacturing changes is crucial. Careful observation and capacity to operate effectively in circumstances when information is ambiguous will be very valuable.

Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

• Lead network tool utilizations strategies and benchmark performance to optimize the company’s deployed capital

• Lead and communicate improvement and implementation plan to all relevant levels and functions in Manufacturing

• Optimize capacity of install equipment and lead sites and tool level optimization studies for throughput enhancement

• Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps. Able to assess network capacity impacts of process changes

• Improve financial analyses before capital equipment are purchased through automating metrics optimizations, process flexibility, capacity sharing and equipment repurpose

Requirements :

• Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Business-related or quantitative field (Finance, Economics or similar subject area). MBA or Master’s degree or equivalent experience is desirable

Mechanical Engineer (UPW / WWTP) – Semiconductor Industry

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the execution of semiconductor Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical review, inspection, coordination, and quality oversight of mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, pressure vessels, tanks, skids, and associated piping systems.

The role requires close collaboration with Project, Construction, Commissioning, Supply Chain, Engineering, and QA/QC teams to ensure equipment and project deliverables meet technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage technical matters relating to mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, pressure vessels, tanks, skids, piping systems, technical drawings, and P&IDs.
• Review equipment specifications, vendor documents, technical drawings, and P&IDs to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct receiving inspections of equipment and materials delivered to site and verify condition, completeness, and compliance with specifications.
• Support review of batch records, quality records, inspection reports, and related project documentation.
• Generate, maintain, and control document submittal registers, technical records, and project documentation.
• Ensure project quality and technical documents are prepared, approved, and maintained in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Review equipment and process logs to monitor performance, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and provide technical recommendations to support project execution and product quality.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the Semiconductor, Electronics, Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Water Treatment Plant (WTP), or Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) industries.
• Experience working with pumps, valves, pressure vessels, tanks, skids, piping systems, and mechanical equipment packages.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Familiarity with equipment inspections, vendor documentation review, and project documentation control.
• Good understanding of quality requirements, equipment verification, and construction/commissioning activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project environment.

1. Project Coordination

• Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day coordination of steel and metal works projects

• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams

• Track shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, and technical submissions

2. Drawings & Technical Support

• Assist in drawing coordination (Drawings prepared by the drafting team)

• Liaise with the drafting team on revisions, updates, and coordination issues

• Ensure drawings are aligned with site conditions, specifications, and contract requirements

3. Material Take-Off & Procurement

• Assist in material quantity take-off for steel and metal works

• Support the Project Manager/QS in cost checking, variation order (VO) support, and progress claims

• Maintain basic records for quantities, tonnage, and material usage

• Assist in material requisitions and delivery planning

4. Site Support

• Assist PM in site coordination, installation planning, and work sequencing

• Attend site meetings and inspections when required

• Support the PM in resolving site issues related to steel and metal works

5. Documentation & Reporting
